Terve :) I've started to learn because 1) I'm hoping to go and study in Finland in the next few years, and 2) it's generally an amazing language! :) (And 3) I'm a bit of a language geek :P)
Whassup' I know we haven't spoken for a while
I was thinking bout you and it kinda made me smile
So many things to say and I'll put them in a letter
Thought it might be easier, the words might come out better
hey! sorry it has yet again taken me so long to respond to you. i've been house sitting for my brother and his wife this summer. they went away for the summer and needed someone to live at their house and take care of their pets. and their internet messed up about a month ago, so i can only get on the internet when i go to my parent's house.
i'm so glad that you are a Tim Burton fan! i absolutely love Tim. did you know that he is doing a re-make of Alice in Wonderland? if so, they just released some pictures from the movie the other day. they look awesome!
i've never seen the English Patient before. i need to go and rent it! i always love watching movies that i've never seen before. hehehe, i LOVE musicals too! Moulin Rouge is such an amazing movie. i love Baz Lurhmann films. he did an awesome job with Moulin Rouge and Australia.
you seriously have such amazing movie tastes! i pretty much like everything that you mentioned, hehe!
oh man, okay let me see if i can name some of my favorites. hmm, to start with, my favorite director is Tim Burton. my favorite actors / actresses are Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Meryl Streep, and Kate Winslet. one of my favorite movies is called Adaptation. it's weird, but it has an amazing concept. it has Nicholas Cage and Meryl Streep in it. i also love The Hours, The Reader, American Beauty, Revolutionary Road, Big Fish, Moulin Rouge, all Tim Burton movies, Chocolat, Finding Neverland, Love Actually, Secret Window, Garden State, Titanic, oh and i LOVE period movies. like Jane Austen stuff ; Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and other period stuff like Atonement, The Duchess, The Other Boleyn Girl. and i love Harry Potter. the books are better than the movies, but the movies are still pretty good.
gosh, i could talk non-stop about movies, hehe! i hope that you have been well!
sorry that it has taken me so long to respond to your comment! school and work consumed my life for this past month, but i'm finally free from school for the summer.
yes, i could see how that could be frustrating! to not be able to convey a thought in your mind onto a piece of paper. hopefully, you will be able to go back to enjoying art. my friend says that sometimes taking art classes can take the fun out of drawing because the teachers force you to draw certain stuff instead of letting you draw whatever comes into your imagination. i dunno if you feel that way, but that's just what my friend complains about all the time, hehe!
oh man. i could talk about movies non-stop ;D. i am also a HUGE movie fanatic. ah! yes, i love The Hours! it's so amazingly wonderful. *sigh* there are so many wonderful movies in the world. i have read the book The Hours, and i've been meaning to read Mrs. Dalloway. i like to read the books that go with movies because i feel like i better understand the concept if i read the book. but, i love movies that are different. you know, one's that aren't really cliche. what are some of your favorite movies?
not interested? oh no! quite the contrary! i found your long comment to be enjoyable! it's nice to figure out what people are passionate about, and how they came to love what they love.
do you mostly just use a pencil and paper when you draw? or have you ever tried like using paint and other things like that? in my first year of college, i took an art appreciation course. we did this thing called printmaking and i absolutely loved it! i'd love to work on my drawing skills and try to get better at them. i find art fascinating.
but i know what you mean about it being something that takes a long of practice. i was that way with photography. when i first started off, i was horrible! and now, i'm decent. i'm always overshadowed by my brother, though. he actually has his own thing where he sells his photographs. so, i guess most people in my family think he's better than me, haha. plus, he has traveled to different countries, meaning that he has seen far prettier scenes than i have.
wow. this was probably a long comment. sorry about that! i get a little carried away sometimes. but, i love talking to people.
aw, well i like the city drawing, as well! both of the drawings are lovely. how long have you been drawing for? is it something that you are just naturally good at, or did it take a lot of practice?
i absolutely love your drawings. especially the eye drawing. you are very gifted. i've always wished that i could draw. i've tried, and i'm not any good. hehe! so, i just stick to photography.
ahaha. really? well, i think tagalog language is pretty cool, really. (: it's very near to american language. (: it doesn't have weird letters included, if you know what i mean. haha. :'D
wow, how could you manage that cold! i mean, that's already negative! D:
in here, 16 degrees, i'm very very cold, although i'm very much in love with cold weather. (: and those pics look amazing. (:
