It would be a week before his 18th birthday. ...he was to walk among the revellers as they celebrated the new year - always the outsider looking in - before pulling out a gun and starting to shoot people indiscriminately. When the carnage reached its horrifying climax, he would put the barrel to his own head, pull the trigger, and say goodbye to reality forever. This, before he managed to climb out of the vortex of self-destruction he created for himself, was his future. And it sure wasn't pretty. "That was my plan," he says in 2005, now clean and sober, aged 23, frontman for up-and-coming stars Aiden, and with a brighter future than he ever imagined before him. "Seriously. That was what I was going to do in the new millenium. That's some fucked up shit." That's the opening of the article... basically it goes on to say how wiL came from a broken home, was bullied at school, never fit in, and got addicted to heroin at 14, along with pretty much every other drug on the cards. At 15, after his parents figured out what was going on with him, he left home and went to live on the streets of Seattle. He stole stuff to get money for drugs, went to jail a few times, and tried to deliberately overdose a couple of times. But now he's clean and sober and sane. o.O That interview was so upsetting to read... at first I found it hard to feel any sympathy for him, but after reading the whole thing I was almost in tears. I'm so glad he's okay now... nobody deserves to go through all that shit. u_u
