but my mums all like "there all gonna be high on drugs and i have to go with you cos your 14 and your gonna be the only 14 year old there"
is it too violent for 14 year olds to go to see aiden in a tiny venue ?

I think it would be safe as long as you stay away from the mosh-pits. I'm not sure if wiL does the wall of death in small venues, but he probably does. He'll 'warn' the crowd when he wants to play the wall of death 'game.' You probably know what it is but.. "the audience divides into two sections, with a gap of at least 10 meters between them. The two groups then run into each other at high speed, in a rather violent fashion."
Your mom is over-worrying. They wont be high on drugs. xD And you probably wont be the only fourteen year old there. But, your mom wants you to be safe, which is good. =)
Did anyone see the AP article? Bob Bicknell, wiL's cousin and Aiden's tech guy, is interviewed in a small section. I'll type it up, i guess..
How did you become an all-in-one super tech?
On last year's Rockstar Taste of Chaos International tour, the flights were so expensive that we weren't really able to take [any other techs] with us, so I would go and set up the guitars and drums and everything, then do sound and tour manage, too.
Does that get difficult?
Sometimes it gets a little crammed in, but [the band] are pretty self-sufficient. They still do a lot of their own stuff like change their guitar strings.
Considering Aiden frontman wiL Francis is your cousin, does he expect more from you?
i think so. But I'm sure he expects a lot out of me just because he wants the job to be done correctly. Still, there've been a couple times when he's just like, "Come on, man. You can do better than that." Most super-huge things aren't really my fault.
Super-huge?
One of the worst things was this bus fire when we were driving through the Swiss Alps on our way to Download Festival in England. We still don't really know what started it. It was, like, entirely localized right through our kick drum.
Do you think fans have any misconceptions about what you do?
Well, backstage isn't as fun as everybody tries to make it out to be. It's really just everybody hanging out, chatting online to their girlfriends. It's really kinda boring-except for, you know, the fires.
