Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 8038 | March 17th, 2007 at 05:53am I guess. Have you seen their tour rider? I don't think I've posted it here.
It's hilarious.
EDIT: Right here.
I would've baked Claudio a cake if I had remember it. Sucks to be... very forgetful. |

It's pretty small though, considering that it's catering for eleven people. |

Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 341 | March 20th, 2007 at 12:17pm Wait, what's coming on the sixth of June ?
The Armory Wars ?
EDIT.
And I read the interview, and they were saying stuff about thr SSTB comic.
Is that going to be re-released soon, too ?
AND, do you know where they are going to be released.
Because I don't think any of the comics have ever been sold in Canada.
BUT
HOLY SHIT.
Even just some of the 'previews' in the interview, the pages that were scanned in from the Amory Wars.
Holy Fuck, that shit is awesome.
I wish I could get those. |

Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 8038 | March 20th, 2007 at 12:30pm The Amory Wars is covering SSTB. So it'll be a mini series of five that'll cover SSTB, then they'll move onto the rest of the story. =]
I just love it so much. I just... I j... gah. ;_; <333
US comic stores I guess, but also on tour. he said Hot Topic and MerchNOW are also possibilities.
But I'm going to down to my local comicbook dude to see if he could get it for me. |

Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 341 | March 20th, 2007 at 12:35pm Awesome.
So, it's five Amory Wars books in a mini series that will cover SSTB ?
And then they will continue with the rest of Amory Wars, or with the rest of the other comics ? |

Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 8038 | March 20th, 2007 at 12:41pm This is just the first installment of The Amory Wras. It's like Star Wars.
It's always The Amory Wars, but different stages, etc. |

Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 8038 | March 20th, 2007 at 03:26pm OKinNJ:I used to be a HUGE co&ca fan. but i dunno the latest record hasn't really stuck with me much. it started out very strong, even though it could have just as easily been the start of a Led Zeppelin record haha, but from tehre it jsut goes slowly downhill for me I don't see where you get that downhill thing from.
I couldn't say anything about the Zeppelin thing, because I never got into them, but yeah, the start of the record is amazing and epic and then, yes, it goes into this different part. I can't say that's a bad thing though. Mother May I bridges up perfectly to the Willing Well cycle and then it's just tied togheter with precision.
Please give me your thoughts on their earlier records. =] Like, were you into Shabutie and shit?
...Jesus, I'm such a dork.
EDIT: Now that the sheer excitement after the release of the first AW pages has mellowed out just a bit, I remember that, yeah, this kind of surprises me. I wanted the first issue to be the sketchbook, just with graphics. I really wanted to see how it turned out.but oh boy, I'm reading the pages again.
Expect me to post my thoughts and interpretations of it all, soon. |

Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 341 | March 20th, 2007 at 03:32pm Uhm, I can't say whether or not I like Shabutie, because I've never heard them. Like, I am a huge Co&Ca fan, but only because my brother got me hooked on them when I was like only eight.
And I only started looking up all this stuff on Co&Ca like within the past year or two.
But yeah, I think I'm going to see if I can download some Shabutie stuff and give it a try.
And please, you're not a dork.
I think knowing about all that, and being into the comics is really cool. |

Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 8038 | March 20th, 2007 at 03:37pm You should. The imagery in the lyrics is quite different, and pretty dirty. With the Shabutie lyrics in mind you can find alot of sexual refernces, and such, in the Coheed stuff. Delirium Trigger, Junesong Provision, 33 and Devil In Jersey City were all Shabutie songs. Nate Kelley even played drums on 33.
You know, it's only a year since I got Good Apollo, which was the first record of Coheed's that I got. So I'm not a senior fan. But I don't care.
I pay back in interest. XD |

Okay, and now that you mention it, I see what you mean about the sexual references in Shabutie's lyrics, just by listening to Devil in Jersey City. |

Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 8038 | March 20th, 2007 at 03:48pm Sweet Josephine, will you fuck me back home.
Yeah. The fact that she is raped in that scene even adds to the... disturbedness. Sosephine also happens to be Claudio's sister. XD Oh man, he's so... so... dirty. I just love him. <333
That just proves that the concept came to life during the Shabutie period and not after. Why would Claud write a song about wanting to have sexual intercourse with his own sister? |
run.to.the.hills Jazz Hands
Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 341 | March 20th, 2007 at 03:52pm Yeah, I was reading the lyrics while I was reading the thing that explains the stories on Cobalt and Calcium.
And then when he was like Sweet Josephine, will you fuck me back home
When I read that Claudio and Josephine were brother and sister, I was like, woah.
Ha, despite the dirtyness, it's an awesome song.
And I must agree, I love him too
I can't wait until they do Warped Tour, because then maybe I will be allowed to go and see them live. That would fucking rock.
A live show ? That would probably be so amazing. |
threads Shotgun Sinner
Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 8038 | March 20th, 2007 at 03:58pm It's an overtly fantastic song. Especially live, when the middle thing, solo part is changed a bit and Claudio screams into his pick-ups. Oh, and the palmslide harmincs and shit. <333 Doesn't beat Junesong from the Water Street gig back in 03 though. Dude, those harmonics at the start. Mwaaah. <33
They will probably sell the comics at the Warped Tour. Dude, I envy you so much. =[ |

Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 341 | March 20th, 2007 at 04:12pm Why do you envy me so much ?
Does Warped not go to where you live ?
OH,
and, are you sure The Amory Wars comes out June 6th?
Because I go to the States alot in the summer.
And I could always pick it up there, depending on how much money it would cost.
Hopefully not too much.
And then hopefully its not sold out. |
