Grow up. "Fag" and "gay" comments only serve to make you look like a complete idiot. A) Some people on this site are gay (shocker!) and B) taste in music has very little correlation to sexual orientation. And so what if they're pop? MCR has a heavy dose of pop in them too. Everyone is allowed their own taste in music. If you can't accept that, I feel very sorry for you indeed. And seriously? You just wasted part of your life making a fool of yourself.

I'm pretty sure cigarettes can't like music. And yes, they are very happy because they're out making money doing what they love, unlike you whos sitting on their ass doing nothing and going nowhere. They aren't emo. They're honestly one of the only bands out there that are true to themselves. They don't try to market themselves as emo or punk. They market themselves AS themselves. They don't change their image to fit in, they take a lot of crap from people like you, they don't change the members in their band, and they don't change their sound or message just because they have some insignificant comment. In the words of Simple Plan, They are the most hated and loved band in music. ... I was a HUGE fan like 3 years ago. Hahaha. I find them to be a gateway band... They got me into Emery, Fall Out Boy, and My Chemical Romance, which lead to From First to Last, Exodus, Children of Bodom, The Kooks, The Spill Canvas, and tons of other great artists. Besides, would you rather a 12 year old listen to Simple Plan or Slayer?

Besides, if every 12 year old in the world started loving Slayer, they'd be ridiculed too. Often, it has less to do with music and more to do with elitism and snobbishness. I'm not saying everyone loves SP, but they do get a hard time of it because they have a lot of younger fans.

The reason they get ridiculed by people is because they have become mainstream. Suddenly it's not so "cool" to listen to them anymore. personally I'll keep listening to them as long as I like the music.

I liked them for ages, then I saw them and I was completely obsessed. It was probably the best live show I've ever seen. (Not that I've been to all that many live shows - not many bands come here - but I've seen those that do and a few in the UK.)

Oh! Okay, so now Im a fag? They are against Teen Suicide/cutting because they are such nice and sweet guys. I dont care if its pop, punk, indie, or anything else. In my opinion Simple Plan is Simple Plan no matter what genere you decide to put them in. They are such sweet guys. I met them last year and they couldn't have been nicer.
