That is exceptionally narrow-minded. He was in N*Sync and for the record, they wrote all their own stuff. You shouldn't dismiss talent just because someone was in a pop band. Pop bands have just as much capability to be credible artists as rock bands.
Justin is AMAZING. He's amazing live as well. He puts on a fantastic show!
I find it blatantly obvious Gerard likes him. Gerard is an open-minded smart guy who wouldn't let something as trivial as the fact Justin used to be in a boyband stand in the way of the fact that he's an incredibly talented artist.

i respect justin because of his openmindness to music.
\the style of music people choose to write is totally up to them, and the type of music people like to listen to is up to them to.
i hope that by gerard liking justin might possibly teach some of us here that its ok to like music that is in the charts or by guys that used to be in a boyband cause we shouldnt allways judge the singer by the music.
you know what?
i think that some of his songs are okay even.
some of his old stuff is catchy and has a good beat, they dont always mean the most important stuff but in terms of just making music for peoples entertainment, it definatly fits my catorgorie.

the music, however, is a different matter. wasn't too into the boy band stuff [and NO not just because it was 'boy band' it's just not my thing] but i prefered his individual work.
