It's not your fault too many are too selfish to vote for others!
I would like to make a suggestion, since this lack of votes has been repeating itself over and over.

I think that everyone who joins the weekly challenge should be forced to make a vote, there we get about 5 votes that are essentail. Then you can add them to the votes of members who haven't joined. This would give a wider chance for people to win.
So, to let very talented poets and poetess vote for other different styles.
Please take this in consideration.

and Congratulations x-I'm Not Okay-x.

Congrats on winning y`all! : D

but being forced to vote for someone isn`t fair whatsoever,
you should vote for one that means something to you, one that you fall in love with,
no just picking one so you can enter.
and some of the poets that enter don`t come online when your supposed to vote
so if we didn`t vote then we wouldn`t get to enter which wouldn`t be fair.
maybe we should stop voting and let Lovesick Melody picks the winners.

I agree, you changed my mind.
But I think there should be some more judges.
So to critisize our poems and still get a true choice!

Thank you very much :]

So what do you guys want to do?
The only problem with that, is that there is no longer a point to posting the entries anymore, since you guys can't vote...
I'm not sure....

Yeah I agree again...
okay I'm a bit confused now.
Maybe we should keep it the way it is for a while, and if it never works for like the next two weeks, we can just choose some judges, and you would only have to post the winnders..
Maybe you can also post the entries, and allow voting, still let the judges vote as well.
Like: Every judge gets to give two different votes, means give two different points to any poems he likes. And every member' vote only worthes one point.

Then you can post the final score for every poem including the winners.
So I think this should solve it.

But of course I would like to hear tater and followill say something about it. They are way more sane than me.
Now, no one would have to vote for a poem he/she doesn't like. Except for the judges, this would be their job.

Yeah, since this is officially not my contest, then I really have no right to change anything without consulting followill.
I've got 3 entries, do you want me to leave it open for another week or post them?
I think we could get more entries in my opinion...

I agree with you. Everyone was busy about the protest anyway.

But I think you should really let followill know. then you could run the new rules on this week's on next week's.

I've read some of the stuff on this page and about consulting me and stuff and I'm not really sure I understand what cracking off. Is the problem not enough votes?

Could someone like, lay down the problem and the suggested solutions for me, catch me up a bit? : )

Sure followill.

the problem here is that we had about 4-6 entries.
But what made it so unjust is that no one would vote.
I voted every time. But we got 2 votes tops.

So, we were trying to find a solution for this. As all the other competitions got so many entries and so many votes. Giving fair results.

We were thinking about giving Lovesick Melody. the choice to choose the winner.
Or even better, start this whole judges thing. So all poems would get their share of fair voting.
Or even have judges vote along with the members of INO.
We are so not sure. So we have to consulting you.
Becasue this has happened for the third or fourth time.
Means no votes and one placement as 1st place along with the judges choice only.

It's your competition after all, so we think you should decide what to do.

we'll come up with more suggestions if you want to.

Thanks Cherokee, and call me Jessie, cause like, its my name : )

Well, if we're getting no votes then the judging deal is a good idea but just giving to one person I feel is a bit biased. It's always going to be a matter of that particular persons preference and if one persons style fits the bill then that person is gonna keep winning you know, it's inevitable, plus, whoever runs the competition knows who sent the entries it.

So if the judges thing is gonna work its going to need mixing up every week. Like, someone can put themselves forward to be judge that week. So, poems would be sent into whoevers running the comp at the time, they would send them along, anonymously to the chosen judge and the judge would decide a 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Thats just my input though, let me know if you come up with anything better.

Hey guys, it's been a hectic week, sorry I haven't been on.
Call me Jo btw XDD

Okay, so on the new marking scheme:
I would hate to lose the whole participation aspect of judging.
Just the chance of being able to vote for your favourite.
I think that if we had to change it, that we went with Cherokee's earlier idea.
Cherokee:

Maybe you can also post the entries, and allow voting, still let the judges vote as well.
Every judge gets to give two different votes, means give two different points to any poems he likes. And every member' vote only worthes one point.

Or maybe just put links in signatures or something, try to get more people noticing it.
But thats just a personal opinion. :]
