It's a Danny song, Amber. Danny is the one singing...not Matt...
And Danny has been been trying new styles ever since Crimson. Like that one song The Poison. That was different for Danny. And this new song has weird lyrics, that is my only complaint. They don't sound like Danny lyrics.
I've listened to the song, again for the tenth time, and it is growing on me.

In the song In Vein you can tell it's Danny because his lisp slips up a little.
