I'm really into their old stuff,
circa Parachutes & A Rush of Blood to the Head.
Not really into the new things, though ]:

I listened to A Rush Of Blood To The Head in the car the other day, for like the first time in YEARS, and I'd totally forgotten how amazing that album is. In Love

I love Coldplay, although I didn't like them much when I first heard them. My sisters were into them, and so I thought I'd find out what the fuss was all about, and bought their album. That was it ~ they had me hooked.

As well as that, their music was something that would help me to grieve after my brother died in a motorcycle accident in 2004, especially the songs Amsterdam and Life Is For Living (the Live 2003 DVD version). Even now, if I was to listen to those songs, the tears would still flow.

I like Coldplay. I've always been a casual fan, but when their new stuff somes out, I always buy singles.

I've been meaning to get an album for a while now. I think I will.

The Scientist is such a beautiful song.

My Dad loves Coldplay. He introduced them to me and my sisters and now I love them.

Fix You is one of their bests - my favorite. So is the scientist (love the music video!)

Viva La Vida sounds different from their other songs but I still love it.

But now, they're way too popular. Crying or Very sad
When they appeared on the Itunes commercial, my parents were like, "Oh, that's it. They're done."
Because bands being too popular isn't a good thing. Coldplay - oh my god - way too popular. But I will always love 'em.

(I hope Paramore won't get this popular though!...)

^ Plenty of bands survive through popularity (and, btw, Paramore's already insanely popular).

I've always like Coldplay's singles, but have never gotten an album. I'm planning on picking one up soon. A suggestion?

I think I like Viva La Vida even more than A Rush Of Blood To The Head, and that's saying something.
I think it's because it's so different from their previous stuff

I have all of their albums and so far I am the most amazed by Viva La Vida, and that is saying a lot, because they are an amazing band with unparallelled talent. I think a lot of people agree. This album is so unlike their previous work, but somehow manages to stay on the same plane.

Coldplay is my 2nd favourite band. I first heard them in 2005(speed of sound) but I have to say that my fav album is Viva la Vida. Especially Lovers in Japan. The tickets for their shows in Sweden in september were sold out in 20 minutes but lucky as I am, I got 2........ I'm going nuts wishing september would come now!

Everyone says that Coldplay just copied a bunch of Cobra Starship songs and just put their own lyrics to it.
I don't think so, I just think they just happen to sound the same in some aspects.
Personally, I think Coldplay is better than Cobra Starship, and more experienced to steal songs from some new band.
Just because "Viva La Vida" and "Viva La Cobra" sound the same doesn't mean they were copied, and if songs sound the same doesn't mean they stole anything from them.
