I love a few bands from Louisiana, haha. and I live in Minnesota, so like 2 people from here have heard of these bands.
Meriwether. - They are signed to Suretone. I don't really know how to describe them, I guess alternative rock with a dash of pop. According to a review, they sound like "my chemical romance and three days grace in a blender... with a singer who sounds a lot like the singer from fall out boy." They've toured with Papa Roach, 10 Years, Saving Abel, Puddle of Mudd, and played shows with MCR, The Used. they've got a thread on here, but it sorta died.
Oh, Juliet! - slightly newer band. found out about them from Meriwether. I like the lead singers voice.
The Vettes- very poppy band. It's a family band. "Give Em what they want" is amazingly catchy. their EP is on the hot topic website, so that tells you that they will probably gain mainstream status soon. I've heard them be compared to No Doubt.
only three. because I already typed too much, and I'll spare you my akward rambling about bands.
the jeevas, they were a english band and i discovered them in a weird way but i love them.
kaya, a japanese singer. his voice is awesome and his style<3
and teleradio donoso, they are chilean so nobody knows them :3
Owl City now, all the bands I like get popular |:
Forever the Sickest Kids - 2007
Breathe Carolina
Kill Paradise
Bring Me The Horizon (Before first album)
he doesn't have any cds or anything, so his music's really hard to find,
but you'd definitely know him if you saw the movie Shelter,
he has like, 4 songs on the soundtrack.
and his other songs you have to search pretty hard for, too. /:
but i absolutely adore him and his music, his voice is pretty unique.
Life After Eternal Death.
They don't have any albums either, but they have this myspace (myspace.com/laedmusic or something like that) and there's this song called "A Fallen Scream"...I absolutely love it
Apoptygma Berzerk.
Their first few albums sound very techno, with a couple techno covers of Metallica xD. I heard of them through an interview on Taste iTTV, it was amazing. Their last album is definitely more rock, "In This Together" is my fave.
Cinema Bizarre.
German Japanese-inspired electronic rock. I love their drummer and lyrics, Forever or Never, Other People and Lovesongs would be my favorite songs by them. Up until maybe two months ago not many people in the US had heard of them, now their EP is in Hot Topic and they're touring in the US.

apop yesplz. <3
I wouldn't at all classify them as techno, though.
their first albums were more EBM or industrial, and then moved toward synthpop and now rock. in this together is definitely going to be much more your thing if you're into the rock side of it all, but if you like synthpop, starsign is fantastic. and further back, nearer is a lovely track, and if you're okay with the harder, more EBM sound, bitch is great fun.
