We've officially finished writing the 8th AFI album, and now we enter the studio to put it on tape. We have a fabulous producer we'll be working with, David Bottrill, who has worked on some fantastic and legendary albums by Peter Garbiel, Muse, Silverchair, Placebo, and Tool. We've spent this whole year crafting these songs and we're impatient to share them, so let's get busy.
"In other news, yes, the EP still isn't out, but there's a reason, and it's a positive one. At this rate maybe the new AFI album will be out before the EP."
looks like we'll be getting a full length album before an EP, if an EP at all.
i'm not complaining. =)
I am soo ecstatic about this new stuff. Eighth album; I don't mind how long they take. Good stuff takes time.
For the kids who dont hang out at the df site, from Davey: Quote:
As I sit here in the studio missing a Jane's Addiction(Eric included) performance at a very tiny club I can't help but guess that some of you feel the same way about afi as I do about Jane's. It's a rather surreal and wonderful feeling to know that I've spent over half my life in this band and that there are people, beyond myself, who continue to truly enjoy it. I'm quite lucky to be working on my 8th full length on this Birthday of mine and am very excited to have it finished and ready for your listening. I love the songs. Love them.
=D
p.s glitter and trauma, I think I died when I saw your ava. <3
Yeah I was only on it the night before or something and then it was gone when I went back. But it's normal now.
& if they're playing old songs it might mean the new songs are a bit like the old songs? : D
Or maybe not.
edit:
& their websites changing.
It's changed three times, according to AFI series.
& someone posted an image of the second one but I can't see it because I'm not registered.
And it won't let me register. D:
edit: another new picture, called 4.
I wonder how many they'll do.
