while i don't go on batsu (from everything that i've heard, that place scares the crap out of me), i do basically live on livejournal, and there too, you've got stupidity in epic proportions, and you'll be hated from the moment you don't go all, "OMFG KYO-SAMA!111oneone LOVE."

My adopted daughter fits that description perfectly, and it is she who is responsible for my appearance at that Dir en Grey show last week. My son really liked Mucc, and I really like D'espairspray, at TOC last year - and he is the one who took me to my first MCR show, so there you go (he would relate more closely to Ray than to Frank though, seeing as how he is Mr. Shred.) Justine also had Damien admiring the work of Mijavi.

Actually, Dir En Grey do like a lot of american bands, hell, they have Mindless Self Indulgence in their top friends and both bands promote each other.

it's just that most of the time, J-Rock is a bit different from American Rock, it's, more wicked, both lyrical and instrumental. Which is probably why some people don't like American rock anymore after listening so long to J-Rock, they're not used to the difference anymore and then to lean more to the J-Rock side.
