black dahlia:a mirror is something that you snort cocaine off of. i think that at one point, gerard used cocaine quite a bit, and he had a girlfriend who tried to stop him from using it. this song is his reply to her, saying that "i can either be with you or do cocaine."
he chose the drugs.

However, shes a complete whore, so he won't do what she says, and keeps on with his addiction. I agree with this I know this is for the dealing of Gerard's controlling girlfriend and was doing drugs, but with out knowing this when i first heard it i thought that he was saying that somone was trying to take over his career and saying that i started it and that he didnt want her or someone in the picture. |

Honestly i think its about gee or mikey or any of the guys and they had some huge secret! They told their girlfriend then she threatens to tell...
OR........ Like ive heard gerard talkin to himself. hes crazy when hes on drugs and drunk. (as most of you all know) hes trying to get rid of one of the sides. i dont know which but yea |

he's also been reported as saying: "this song is about a big, fat whore." That's really intresting. I always presumed he meant it as in she was trying to become to involved in his life and was using him so she "looked" good.
I didn't think Gerard did cocaine that far back...He says in LOTMS during the part about naming the band that it fitted because he was addicted to pills and later on had and addiction to cocaine. |

Posts: 10 | May 24th, 2009 at 09:33am so i agree with the fact that a mirror is used to snort cocain off, which ties into the title. i have had and heard heaps of differnet opinions on what this sing was about. one is that gerad and a girlfriend break up, like he breaks up with her, but she doesnt want to move on and he just doesnt give a shit. (and you can cry all you want to i dont care) so she goes and gets with his friends and brother to get back at him, (the drugs are making him really angry or something dont know how that ties in) and in the end he tells himself he wont go through that ever again,
another one was he decide to give up drugs for her, but then couldnt do it and needed them back..(im knocking let me in) if that makes sense haha. x |
