I think its medium, but definitely smaller than the Nassau Coliseum.

Without passes you'll usually have to wait for a while. Just hang around by the tourbuses.
I've had luck in nearby coffee shops but that was couple years ago
when they didn't really have people who would go buy them coffee. |
