I just did a huuuge blog on the whole day so here's my part on The Matches: finally infectious grooves finished and then the guys infront of us left so we were upfront on the right like in a second. pretty damn good. the matches were like their own roadies cuz they set up all their own stuff. and ben young, their awesome guitar tech. jon came out first and we yelled "HI JON" and he looked at us and was like "hey" so then we were like "can you play superman?" and he shook his head and was all "noo.." which was kinda sad but yeah we met him *nods* and then justin came out so we yelled hi to him and then omg then matt whalen came out so we yelled HAI MATT WHALEN and he kinda looked a little scared but he waved at us so we met him also. and then shawn harris came on and we were like hai shawnnnn zomgggg and he said haiii backk which was ttlyyy awesomeeeee and yeahhhh. then after they finished setting up they went back offstage and came on for like an official kind of entrance. i lol'd. okay before i say anything let me just say that the energy those boys have is contagious and wonderful. they started with sunburn vs. the rhinovirus, then played (in order) little maggots, what katie said, their city, wake the sun, sick little suicide, didi, point me toward the morning, salty eyes, and finished with the a-m-a-z-i-n-g papercut skin. to be honest i didn't know half the words to any of the new songs... yey... but i sang along like a mad person to everything else. i got some brilliant shots as i didn't need to zoom cuz i was so damn close. but as my camera is a bitch when it comes to zooming some of them came out hella blurred >< andddd it turned itself off when the cutest thing happened. justin was rocking out and put his pick in his mouth, then jon came over and squeezed his cheeks so he spat it out, but he put his head so close it looked like he was gonna kiss justin. i hate my camera. poked lois in the eye not once but twice... sorry lois! during sick little suicide, alex gaskarth from all time low came and sang with them, and shawn put him on his shoulders. so cute! ben took over shawn's guitar. at this point my camera died :[ shawn introduced papercut skin by telling everyone to "put your two fists up like this, and then when i count to 3 bring them down to your pelvis real fast and make a noise like.. i dunno, like you're being fucked by a rhinocerous or something". great way to start it, and the song itself just was epic. mainly cuz it featured breathtaking triangle playing from ben young *claps for ben young*. and yeah then they went off and i got the set *dies* and we sprinted to the side of the stage where they were before the show, and met shawn. sooo many people were crowding around him i kinda pushed my way through, said hi, and then gave him the set and went like SIGNMYSETSIGNMYSETSIGNMYSETSIGNMYSET until he signed it, then was like yayyy thanks, you're awesome to which he said thanks, and then saw justin and ran over to him. got him to sign my set :] and then took a pic of him and lois on lois's phone. then got a hug which was... sweaty... and then told him they have to come back to perth. showed him my shirt, which he said was "really cool, with the lyrics and everything. ohhh you got the decomposer on it, that's great" ahhh i love justinnnn. they're such nice guys, i'd love to see/meet them again. Yeah, I typed that up in like 2 minutes so just ignore the bad grammer and everything. I'll put the decent pics up in the next few days.  |

D: i've been wanting to see them live, for like, 3 years now. |
