I was a fan ever since her first album. Her new single is okay, but doesn't even come close to her old stuff! I hope the rest of her new album is going to be totally different and sound like the old Avril, instead of the new Avril.
I love her song Freak Out! I put it on repeat, play it really loud and sing to it. |

It makes me so frickin mad when people go, "oh she went from punk to pop."
Cause Sid Vicious would look at her and straight up LAUGH.
She sang sad little songs about how boys were dicks and stuff and she hated posers.
Now she sings peppy little songs about stealing someone's man.
Just, dsjagdjhagsd. I'm not saying she's a bad artist because for what she is, she's very good.
But to sit there and go, "oh she lost her punk roots," is just, RUINING the whole idea of punk. |

And I kind of like her new song a little bit. I mean, some parts need to be re-worded (like "hell yeah, i'm the motherfucking princess" and "she's like, so what ever" ) , but it doesnt compleatly suck.
The vidio, however, makes me want to turn around and shoot somebody in the back of the head. |

and also she really cant sing live, i heard her on tv at an awards show or something and there was like 20 drums in the background but you could still hear her and it was awful!!!. |

i don't see how anyone in the music business, or any business really could be sell-outs.
people imply that you're a sell-out because you change your look/style/works to appeal to a wider audience.
that's not selling out, that's being smart and expanding.
