I'll explain quickly what it is for those who arent sure.
Basicly, its when two people have a relationship. But can have other relationships at the same time. And the partners know about it.
I personally think its stupid, because i tend to get jealous lol.
What do you guys think?

Posts: 48272 | I personally myself wouldn't be able to do it. I don't like the idea of not having them to myself, without sounding controlling. But it's nice to know you're the only one that makes them feel that way.
With a polyamorous relationship, you'll never ever have that full commitment and devotion that you'd get in a regular relationship.
However, if you're not after something serious, then why not; it's your choice?
It might also be easier for them, not setting down and getting 'hassle'.
At the end of they day, wouldn't do it myself, but it's down to personal choice.
There's nothing wrong with it, you just have to be a certain type of person to carry it out.

it will totally ruin things
but those who have a relationship in an easy way...well, gee i really can't blame them though...just go and do what they want best.
still, isn't that a little hard? cuz you have to share to this someone everything you have shared to the other someone... =\ that's kinda difficult to maintain
so basically, i dislike that kind.... that's not gonna work on me.

I can't believe there are some people who are so quick to judge someone else's way of life. Because after all, polyamory and indeed open relationships and swinging are all lifestyle choices that people choose to make for themselves.
In polyamorous relationships, no one is forced to do anything they want to do. It is all consensual, and it's not like "cheating" in anyway. They don't have disrespect for their partner(s). They're not bad people for choosing to be polyamorous.
Monogamy does not suit everyone. Just like polyamory doesn't work for everyone.
Be open minded. Not everyone has the same lifestyle.
Sorry if this sounds bitchy, but I get quite offended when people call other people's lifestyles "stupid".

For example, if someone went into the Homosexual Rights thread and said that the homosexual lifestyle was "stupid", then they would be chastised within an inch of their life for attacking gay people's lifestyle. I don't see why the same principle of respect shouldn't be applied with this topic; it is a lifestyle afterall.
I know it seems like I'm beating that point to death, but ignorance is something that irks me.

But as I said, that's just my opinion. Maybe other people would want this kind of relationship so that they don't feel tied down, or something. It might work out for some people. |

I... I cannot actually comprehend the ignorance of this post. I'm not just saying that to be bitchy. But that is extremely insulting to anyone in a polyamorous relationship.
A polyamorous relationship is just like any other relationship - except you have another partner. Usually people have two partners, it's not as if they go around having sex with any random person.
Polyamory is not synonymous with sleeping around.
