I hate to say it, but Gerard is so annoying in that one! He's all pully and tuggy with his face, and he acts all breathless in the beginning. Ugh. |

Otherwise, my least favorite is "Famous Last Words." It's disappointing, because it's a great song, one of my favorites on the album. But the video is just kind of boring. I remembered Gerard saying once that he (and the rest of the band) hated music videos where all you see is the band playing. He said they loved the ones that have stories and are like mini-movies. "Famous Last Words" really has no story. It's just them. In the dirt. Surrounded by fire.
I do like the very first shot where they're all sort of ragged looking, like they've just come out of a fight... I think Ray's actually lying on the ground, isn't he?
And I know that this is the video that Bob and Gerard got hurt making, so I feel a little guilty being so critical over it... But honestly, it's just not as attention-getting as the others. |
