Not just because its MCR and I am hopelessly addicted to them.

God, its like got such a great emotion/feeling to it.
Crap.
IDLY wasnt my first choice for a video so I was a bit skepitcal when i was told they were doing it.
But SHIT
its blown my mind
seriously.
The black and white,
the clouds
its so surreal
the facial expressions
the slow motiom cliff bit
the two people, the white and blackness of them.
And they guys performance is beautiful.
Gerard made sexy look beautiful. Its not like "your hot' but.....I don't know, its like they've made up their own emotion.

I saw this last night, when it was on channel 4...I'd been asleep, and woke when it was just starting (my ultra senses working there, hehe) and I was like WOW. I then fell asleep, and then this morning I thought I might have dreamt it, it was that strange....
But my brother in law had seen it too, so I knew I hadn't, lol. But it's very bizarre being half asleep and watching a video like that...It makes for some strange dreams!
The second time I watched the video I burst into tears.... |

But, there's a chokeful of symbolism in this vid...gonna make me think a bit.
Gerard makes an amazing presence in this video--the emotion he conveys without making himself look stupid. It wasn't so much the song that touched me, but him--his presence there. My head's swarming with too many things right now.,,,

I watched it last night on Channel 4 and the stupid info thing said it was Famous Last Words so I was all pissed off and cursing stupid C4 people for calling it exclusive. Then the first shot came on and I was just like arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it's new it's new!!!! And then Bob came on and I nearly had a seizure then Gerard came on all sad, just the way he kept sort of looking away from the camera as if he was going to cry etc, it was so powerful and it was just wow. It was spine tingling, you know when you watch something really good and it really affects you, well yes, it is now my favourite video, even though I love them all!
And I can't wait to see the making of it to see what they all jumped/fell onto! It was just brilliant, wowzers! Can you tell I'm a bit excited?

I love the whole black and White theme they have going on, and the way it goes into the very finest details, like the eyes of the man and woman.
Maybe I've just been anaylsing movies too much in english and am just used to picking up techniques and shit.

Posts: 1979 | March 8th, 2007 at 06:47am 'electro sexual' you're right it is technically brilliant, the detail is incredible, I love the part where the bodies of the girl and boy crumble, there's just so much symbolism and layers of meaning (throughout the video). That's one of the many, many things I love about MCR is that they are involved in every single aspect of everything that happens, they would never sell-out and let someone elses imagination take over what they have created, they pick the people to work with who will enhance it and make it a reality.
