JJOANN Killjoy Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 36 | Well, you all probably know MCRmy? Have you ever thought about how great is tha name "MCRmy" for a street team? Well I bet you have, now we need a good name for this street team too. As some of you know, the original site was going to be called as The Masters Of The Wicket. However, we thought that the street team shouldn't be named as "The masters of the wicket", 'cause it is a name that only a MCR-fan can understand, when the name should be something that comes across everyone, not depending about are you a fan or not. When I started with this project, someone in Livejournal came up with the name "We're Okay Now", and as you all know, that's what we're using now! I took a look at the post of mine in that community in Livejournal to see if there would be any name suggestions that would suite for the street team, but the only one I figured would suit, was MCRescue and I think it's too much like MCRmy. Still not closing that option though. So this is your chance to affect with your opinion! Give your proposal, when there's enough name-suggestions, I'll make a poll out of them and you'll get to vote! And just maybe the one that has suggested the winner-name, wins something. Wink Oh, and if it helps at all, the street team site concept will be related to I'm Not Okay (I Promise) -music video. Maybe you could use that? So go for it! http://www.s8.createphpbb.com/mylivingromance/viewtopic.php?p=2162&mforum=mylivingromance#2162 |

JJOANN Killjoy Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 36 | Hey! Thanks for being so patient. I'm trying really hard to get this back on track. This project has the most amazing supporters ever and I'd like to thank each and every one of you. Specially Niiromaus at our forum who is helping me out big time with getting our site back on track. She has also helped me to make money-donation possible. So yes, you heard right, money-donation is possible now! Go to our myspace (http://www.myspace.com/mylivingromance) our or website (http://www.mylivingromance.urli.net) to see how! Help is really needed and I appriciate every single coin. It's a promise that every coin given to this project is also going to be used by this project (mostly to keep the website up), not for my personal needs. Take care. Joanna/WE'RE OKAY NOW |
JJOANN Killjoy Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 36 | Hey. Two things. a) I made a video for this project, please spread this around in MySpace and/or whereever. b) I've written a new description for the project. Quote |
JJOANN Killjoy Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 36 | As you know, this organization is based on faith. Everyone of us believes in this band and this band believes in us. I've been thinking about creating something that every supporter of this project can carry around all the time. Something simple that you'd keep just because you believe. For yourself, not to brag with it. Faith-bracelet. Cut a piece of red and black ribbon, put them together however you like and tie it around your wrist. When you get kicked around at school, get looked badly because you wear a My Chem t-shirt, get angry because someone says My Chemical Romance is an emo-band, look at this bracelet at your wrist and remember, that you are not alone. There's so many other people who feel the same. (And maybe, just maybe when you go to a MCR-concert, you can spot someone with a faith-bracelet.) Why red & black? - In Japan red is a traditional color for a heroic figure. - In East Asian countries, the names of the deceased are written in red ink in a Book of the Dead. To write a living person's name with red ink is taboo, tantamount to placing a curse on the person. - In Christianity, red represents the color of Christian martyrs who suffered death for their faith. - Red catches people's attention, and is often used to indicate danger or emergency. Still, it's a very living color. - Dark black, added to the bright, living color of red is perfect to describe this project. Even though we wear black, we're still alive. [/list] And, obviously, they look good together. To give you a couple ways to do the faith ribbon, here's three of mine. Feel free to make the same kind. |

JJOANN Killjoy Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 36 | Thanks for the support everyone! I just wanted to let you know that we're looking for staff again! If you have the time and desire to help us out more than in a street team (coming up) level, hear me out. We're looking for staff for places like Livejournal, MySpace, Buzznet, Youtube, (and at the moment most importantly) Vampirefreaks. I'm also looking for "an updater" for different sorts of boards. The "job" of an updater is about looking after our topic in a certain forum and keeping people updated there. Anyway, if you're interested in joining our staff in any way, click here. Oh, and we're going to start a campaign called "The One Good Thing". My Chemical Romance has been encouraging people to "do one good thing a day. It doesn't matter what it is, but do at least one good thing a day". The campaign is centered to doing one good thing a day and posting it up at our forum and sharing it with us. The campaign is still at it's planning-phase. Anyway I'd need someone to help me with that one too. If you're interested just of the campaign and would like to help me out with that, contact me at mylivingromance@netti.fi or at our forum. |
