I'd say Hendrix for guitar.
Nevermind the fact that everything I write ends up sounding like early Cradle of Filth.

COHEED AND CAMBIRA!!!!
Claudio Sanchez and Travis Stever, Thin Lizzy, Zeppelin, Queen, Hendrix...
The bands are just lyrically. Claudio and Travis are kinda the reason why I want to play the guitar. I love the music they make, and would love to play the same songs as they do.

Lyrically, Ryan Ross and Pete Wentz..
They have a way with their lyrics that no one else does.
And as well, the Beatles, too.

Vocally, Brendon Urie, and Emmy Rossum.

Aw man. Well. My Chem actually got me into guitar. I wouldn't be playing if it weren't for them. But a lot of the bands that influence me (some guitar wise, some lyrically. In no order):

- My Chem - Guitar , presentation, lyrics (metaphors and such), overall energy wise.

- I Killed The Prom Queen - Guitar, kind of helped me with making my lyrics darker in some aspects.

- Gallows - Guitar, also influence me in the aspect of REALLY getting my point across through lyrics, have helped me to be able to write pretty aggressively.

- NOFX - Guitar wise.

- Scary Kids Scaring Kids - Guitar and lyrics.

- The Bouncing Souls - Guitar wise as well.

- Hatebreed - Defitenely in the lyrical aspect. Have once again, made my lyrics to be blunt in some parts.

Bury Your Dead - Along the same lines.

The Bled - Guitar wise.

Anti-Flag - Definitely guitar wise as well.

Rise Against - Guitar.

Leathermouth - Agressiveness.

Enter Shikari - Guitar.
---

To be completely honest, the list runs on and on and on. Every band that I listen pretty much influences my sound.

And apart other from actual bands, I get inspired by personal events or what's happening around me. I can't write unless I feel it. My lyrics always have meaning. I usually write down my lyrics and build guitar on top of it.

Well, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, and Fall Out boy are what got me to pick up the guitar.

But for my guitar writing style, I'd have to say Funeral For A Friend mostly. I just love all the complex melodies throughout all their songs.

For lyrics, I'd have to say Funeral For A Friend again, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Taking Back Sunday, Panic(!) At The Disco, Motion City Sountrack, and Hawthorne Heights.

I originally wanted to play drums, but I got a guitar for my birthday.
Boy does my family regret that decision ^^

Queen, David Bowie, MCR (obviously), Yngwie Malmsteen,
anything with guitar riffs that are slightly off-center
