My mum only knows WTTBP and Teenagers, and she doesn't really like them. She likes FOB though (she once asked me if Pete Wentz was single, and I said that I think she'd win a fight with Ashlee Simpson). |

She likes the music of Teenagers, but she doesn't particularly like the lyrics. My dad likes them (I forced him to drive me to the concert and home again XD), but mostly The Black Parade, cause it's a little more mellow than Revenge. |

My mum likes them, but only Teenagers and WTTBP. She doesn't like the video to Helena, because and I quote, "It's enough to scare the shit out of anyone". And she doesn't like Bullets that much.
The very first thing my aunt said when I showed her the Helena video was, "So which one are you going to marry?" I lectured her about it being about the music and not how the band members look.

unless my brothers [who like tbp and im not okay/helena] are in a nice mood, and it becomes *us* v/s dad; in which case majority rules.
mum likes welcome to the black parade alot.. as well as most of tbp singles,
she sings along whenever they're on..
when she first saw the video to wttbp, she actually got really upset.
she went "but i thought it was going to be about the little boy going to a parade! not all this scary death stuff!"
she hates our lady of sorrows.
once i was singing it [the chorus], and she goes "NEVER use that kind of language in front of me" in this really crazy angry voice.
i got a bit weirded/freaked out..
but then maybe she just doesn't like the lyrics.. she finds it "unnecessary".
my family are good with my er.. "obsession" though,
just gentle teasing whenever they come up in conversation; they tend to just laugh and roll their eyes.
oh and my grandma has never heard their music, [i presume so anyway],
but she came into my room one day, took one look at the posters/photos on my walls, and wanted to know if they were all male.
i asked her who she was confused about, and she pointed to gerard.
i laughed so hard... |
