Saw this in the homo rights thread, and decided to give it a thread. A pansexual is a person who engages in sexual intercourse with an animal. They treat it like a partner. What do you think? |

I've never heard of pansexuality applying to people being attracted to animals, though I suppose by the most basic definition it could. What you're talking about would be zoophilia or bestiality - which I personally think is wrong, because it can't possibly be consensual as animals do not have the capacity to consent. |

And I think it's abusing the animal, it's wrong and the animal doesn't know it is.

It's not just diguisting, I think if you're going to have sex with something it has to be in the same species.

I actually don't think it's the same thing at all, really. I don't... really.. SUPPORT human/animal relationship, but I think that comparing it to that is rather drastic. I actually don't think we have enough information to have formed an opinion on this, considering we have no idea if the animal is against it or not.
I also think this comment was rather.... eh, I dunno:

What's the next boundary? Only having sex with members of your race? Only having sex with the opposite gender? Only having sex with blonde-haired people? Where does 'disgusting' end and 'free will' begin? |

Interspecies sex is simply not meant to happen in nature because unless the species are very closely related, they cannot produce offspring, and I've never heard of a fertile interspecies hybrid. Plain and simple, an animal can't consent to having sex - and okay, maybe it does want to have sex with a human, but you wouldn't take that chance with a person, would you? |

It's not like people actually expect to have offspring with an animal... >_O Most people who participate in interspecies sex do it for pleasure, no matter how morbid that pleasure is. And maybe that's wrong, I dunno. Sex was originally meant for reproducing, but isn't seen that way in general anymore, sadly. :/
So.... maybe it is wrong, in that sense. If sex really still IS meant for reproducing. |

I agree. I have a dog. I can not see how having sex with an animal could do anything. Yea the person might get two seconds of pleasure, but come on! Its an animal, it cant consent to sex, it cant speak, it cant love you back(at least not in a romantic way). And Im not sure but couldnt it be very painful to certain animals? |

I think bestiality should be a separate topic because this board's discussion is misleading to people who don't know what pansexuality is. |

I didn't say anything about race. You just twisted my words.
I've seen the results of lions and tigers mating but they are closely related.
I'm saying that it's abusing the animal.
Sex should be kept within humans. I mean, if you want to have sex with a monkey, you can...I guess...
But I would still be against it.
I'm not saying anything about homosexuality, I think it's okay to be gay.
I'm not saying about interacial couples, that's okay too.
But an animal/human relationship like that is just wrong to me.
I don't understand how you would want to abuse of an animal like that. |

I thought the word for Animal and Human phyiscal intercourse was called.
"Beastyality." Not "Pansexual." And I always thought that a Pansexual was
a person who wasn't physically attracted to anyone.
Just a normal person who doesn't like either gender.
Because if it does mean physical attracion to animals.
A lot of people have the wrong word.
