Yeah, it does scare me a bit.
But then most organised religion does.
Like, I find it really interesting, but the idea of me belonging to a religion freaks me out.
I saw the funniest quote about Hillsong & MCR lol.
It was along the lines of "Hillsong is taking away more of our youth than My Chemical Romance!", or maybe it was vice-versa.
Either way, it made me laugh.
Anyway, back to the point,does anybody know what the theme for next Sunday nights show is?

I find it kind of weird that there are people singing songs from 1990 lol.
It makes me feel old, even though I was born in 89 XD

I really disagree with you on Marty's voice.
Sure he doesn't have a massive range or whatever, but it's not necessary for the type of music that he wants to make.
Also, I don't think it's strained at all, once again it's all about the music he wants to make when Idol is over.
His voice reminds me a hell of a lot of Xavier Rudd.
I think it's just sad that he's getting so much crap from like, everyone (by that I mean the media, and even the judges on Idol).
He was, as he said, in the competition to get his music to a wider audience, not to conform to the themes each week.
I feel really sorry for him, because pretty much everybody else has no problem with that because they 'fit the mold' more than him.
He has an amazing voice, but it's very specific to the style of music that he wants to make, and thus it can't be adapted to the themes each week as easily as some of the other contestants voices can.
That was far too deep for a discussion over Australian Idol. XD

I think the problem is that people assume they have huge fanbases and don't vote for them, just think "oh they're popular, they'll be around another week".

I actually don't think it was that bad that he went though now that I thought about it. Now he gets to leave as 'the big shock verdict of the year' and I didnt want him to win coz the winners always disappear. Although I wish he lasted one more week, apparently he was gonna sing 'Hey They Delilah' by the Plain White Tee's next week 
Eh, Idol always sucked anyway. No point me watching it anymore. It never ends well...stupid competition |

No, but seriously... I'm over that typical voice. It's good, but it's not something I haven't heard before.
Ben was a little different, and when he spoke, you're like, "HAHA, GIRL."
And then when he sung, he could give me goosebumps.
