Sorry if a duplicate thread already exists. I searched "true love" and came up with nothing that looked like this.

- what is TRUE love?
- is there even such a thing?
- what makes TRUE love different than any other type of love?

and any other questions someone can think of.

i think it exists.
it's hard to find though.
i reckon its true love if you can live with the person you love for your whole life, it's true if when you wake up in the morning that person is the first thing you think about and cheesy shit like that.
i believe in the whole soulmate thing but i don't think lots of people find theirs.

I believe that everyone's view of love is different all I tell you is that you definately know when you're in it. True love doesn't have an age limit, doesn't judge and is always there.

Over the years, I have begun to believe there is a soul mate but whether that's me hoping or reality, is something I do not know.

True love differs from other love in the fact that it is indescribable and magical. There are days where you want to tell everyone and days where you want to keep it all to yourself. A love you feel with family or friends, is one that's constantly there and, a lot of people, don't think about. True love is, I believe, where the thought of that love/them swarms your mind.

But how do you know you're in true love, if there is such a thing?

True love, is so complex one can not explain it in words. if you have seen, read, or heard Romeo and Juliet then that my friend is the best description a person could give.

There is such a thing but no one realy takes the time any more to wait for it. they get married on a whim or get knocked up in their teens and theworld doesnt know the diffrence between right and wrong. True love is still alive but you just got to be patient.

True love never ends, never fades, and never faulters. You cant to point the true reason out, its just the way you feel, when two parts of the same soul reunite as one that is true love.

True love is one of those things that can not be explained, proven or dis proven.

Are there soulmates out there for us??
Yeah i think so.

Do we know who they are??
I dont think we do not until it is to late.

I do however think there are many people out there that we can be happy in a relationship with.

Our soulmates may be the same type of person as us, or the complete opposite, either way they're going to bore you sometime.

If your with someone and have not thought about being somewhere else, or do not feel bored, then maybe your in love.

I totally agree with the love not being prejudice(dont think thats spelt right) thing.

If you believe in an emotion (as I do believe true, or for that matter an type of love is) then it exists for you. You might never find that person, but it does exist, as in you have ultimate control of yourself.

As for my opinion, true love isn't romantic love and I don't think it comes easy. You have to work for it, either spending obscene amounts of time with a friend or going through some sort of epihanic (that's not the word I'm looking for but it's sort close) experience together.

I think true love exists. It is a bond between two people who were destined to be together. True Love isnt like any other love, this bond it cant be put to end by anything.

I think it exists.
True love is different because you feel something completely different then the love you have for your family or friends. You feel like the person you are inlove has a piece of you. It is as though they are the other half of you.
But it doesn't just come to you. What I dont' believe is true love at first sight. I think that in order to truely love someone you must go through a lot. You have good times and bad times, fights and arguments. You have to be able to get through the worst.

It is hard to explain well.

I don't think there is such a thing.
I don't think it's destined, I don't think there is someone out there you are "meant to be with."
I think you find love by chance, and it all comes down to luck.
Sometimes you get lucky finding someone, and sometimes you don't. There are so many people in this world, there are probably thousands and thousands of people you could be with and ignorantly label as true love, just because the person you found you can connect with. However, there are people out almost all of the time that you could connect with more.
That may seem like a downer, but it's realistic.
It's definitely still possible to find someone you can absolutely love, but i don't think it can hardly be labeled "true."

I think that "True Love" exists.
True love is when you find someone you really want to spend every waking [and/or sleeping] moment with, and when they feel the same towards you.
I feel that there is someone for everyone here on earth.
As to the comments regarding "luck", I agree.
I feel that it is destiny, but a certain amount of luck is involved. I mean- your true love won't exactly pop up on your doorstep one day, and get hitched to you in 20 seconds.
I mean look at me and Kay [another WAYTer, for those of you who don't know]. We seem to fit together perfectly. We can read eachothers thoughts, and can finish eachothers sentances. The only trouble is that there's an ocean between us.
True love is different in the way that it makes both "parties" feel. Emotionally, since finding Kay, I've been slightly wierd. I've smiled alot more, held my head up high. When we're not talking, it feels as though a piece of me is missing. It's as though I die inside when she's not around.
That's Love. When you feel so amazingly connected to someone. When you feel a bond so strong that you never, EVER want to let them go. You can go through thick and thin. Hell and high water. But you will always be together.

I Belive true love is when people are completly honest with eachother. And you love your partner for faults and strenths. Its when you always think of them when you make plans. Its when you know what there thinking. An when they are always on your mind. I believe that even at the tounge age of 16 ive found my true love. We have been dating for 3 years. I know plenty of adults who have fadded out of love. True love doesn't just come to you. You have to have it than work to keep it.

I used to hate the person I'm with. It didn't happen til freshman year and we ended up being friends when it was an average boring night and we were sitting on the front lawn really late at night talking about really funny things. When it hit me, I loved her. And to this day I still do. She told me after we got together that she reliezed it the Same night. That's why I do not believe in love at first sight.

It's out there someone for each of us. We all need to look, but not too hard. It will come along unexpectedly. And of course you can't always say the first comer is the love of your life. But if you believe in it, it's true.
It has to be someone you have this special connection with. Someone who listens to you. Even when you're silent, that person understands you. It's complicated but it's wonderful.

True love, to me. . .

Is sticking through all the shit. It's waking up at three in the morning to hold back your love's hair while they're getting sick. It's not walking away when you're having an argument. It's being able to say "I'm sorry, and I love you." It's looking at another person, a beautiful person, and comparing them to your love and realizing all the things they don't have on them. It's driving 45 minutes just to hold them and tell them "It'll be okay."

It's after 50 years of being married . . . crawling into their hospital bed and letting the cry on your shoulder because you're scared.

It's being there. It's in sickness and it's health. It's no matter how tired you are, how much you want to give up - holding on. It's a promise.

It's hard. It's not sunshine and fucking butterflies.
But it's being able to sit back at the end of your life and realize that you did good. That you lived your life with your love by your side and you never gave up.

That, to me, is true love.

True love... Its really impossible to describe what i think it is in words but i'll give it a shot.

Here are a few quotes form Kids about what they think love is:

"I think you're supposed to get shot with an arrow or something, but the rest of it isn't supposed to be so painful." -- Manuel, age 8"

"One of the people has freckles, and so he finds somebody else who has freckles too." -- Andrew, age 6"

"I know one reason kissing was created. It makes you feel warm all over, and they didn't always have electric heat or fireplaces or even stoves in their houses." -- Gina, age 8"

Gotta Love Kids Very Happy

Anyhoo, To me true love is when you see the person walk into the room and smile automatically.
You hold their hand and it gives a tingle down your back...
All you want to do is to make them happy
And most important to me, Sex can wait...
