Scartist, thank you for the compliments and honesty.
I totally agree with you in the example of Bear Torture, I was just learning at that point to draw humans. I also remember taking all my time with the bear and its cell with the shadows and only one final class period to do the guy. Thanks for your comments; it is what it is, its no where near my best work, but it conveys the message I wanted it to and shows my artistic progression over the years.
The Library Exercise was just that, an exercise. The most important aspects were creating perspective and shading for value and color. The subject was constantly moving , you were only supposed to go as far as create the impression of a sitting figure, which I think I managed to do.
I feel I captured myself quite well in the surrealism piece, at least better then I could have hoped for any earlier. No distortion was intended. Looking at it a year later I see that my upper legs are a little funky, but in the sense of the whole figure and whole piece, I don't think it matters a whole heck of a lot. Theres so much else to look at and everyone who saw it instanlly knew it was me and congragualted me on my work. Yet of couse it could be better, but in the moment I don't think it was possible. I'm quite happy with the piece, its one of the few I can actually hang up and appreciate.
Forgot this one from before

CassyCHAOS I really like your highly rendered work, it reminds me of stuff a friend of mine does in his spare time |

This one I'm a lot less proud of, cause the buildings sort of dissappear in the middle...

it's gorgeous.
And how does nobody else know that it's from Dr Who?!

I really like that. It's something about the way different bits of the drawing stand out against the white, but I think it works really well =D |

These are some I did at school last year. I don't really like them, but all my good stuff is either half finished or at school.
