So, pretty much come here and talk about current tournaments, who you're cheering for, favorite players, and perhaps finer points of the game, including combination play and such.

How peeved are you all that the men's final has just been rained out AGAIN?

tennis rules are super complicated, and you can probably only learn all of them by playing. XD the system used to keep score is difficult enough. you should totally get some lessons, tennis is a great game to play. and it's one of those games you play for life, and not only when you're in your youth and all.

yeah i think i'll take it up!
i've gotten used to basic scoring, but i still don't get some things.
like why some games end at 2 sets and others go on even when the scores are the same after 2 xD

I don't keep up as much as I used to,
so I don't really have a preference on who I want to win.
But I still enjoy a good game anytime :)

It's about time they're planning on getting a roof thing for when it rains.
Should've done that years ago.

I swear tennis rules are wellll easy once you get into it?
Well, that's what I thought anyway :]
Doubles rules are slightly more complex, actually no they're sort of not.
Just the set up for doubles is more complicated, like where the net player should stand,
whether to have a net player, etc.

for women's, they win out of three sets. for men they win out of five.

are tennis rules anything like badminton rules?
because i've played badminton doubles, so i may understand tennis doubles a bit better if it's similar...

Yeahh, for women's it's basically the first person to win 2 sets, and for men's it's the first to win 3.
So womens' can only go up to 3 sets,
and mens' can only go up to 5 :]

Ohh you know who was my hero for tennis?
Who remembers Pete Samprassss x]?

i'm talking about score-keeping, tiebreakers, deuces, lets, that sort of thing.
doubles is way complex, it's as if it's an entirely different game.

Ahh to answer the above question, they're kind of similar, but not the same.
Like for serving and all they're different, but with tramlines and the like, they're the same :]

I prefer singles tbh.
Although, when I'm playing doubles I loveee it.
I especially love playing at the net. Well used to >.<
Literally, my volleys were like unreturnable x]
