federer seems to be making really weird mistakes.
it's like he gets a lot of points on his serve, maybe that's just me and my non-knowledge though.

on grass, that's usually how it's played. whoever is serving usually wins the game. 6-4 is a classic wimbledon score because each holds their serve until one of them finally breaks, and then each holds their own serve once more.

On grass slice backhand became like my best friend x]

oh okay.
cause i feel like federer really relies on his serve.
but he is amazing on grass.
and when i watched clay, there seems to be soooo many more rallies.

on grass, serve and volley became my best friend. XD and pretty much slice anything. in russian, i had to play on like, this fake grass with little bit of gravel? oh, that was murder.

The ball bounces in a much more sort of hit-friendly way on clay,
whereas on grass the bounce of the ball can be quite awkward and unpredictable,
espeically if there's slice on the ball.

on clay, the game is slower, but there still is more bounce than there is on grass. clay is more of a combinations and mental game compared to anything else. grass is more of a serve and volley/angles game.

Rofl, well when I played,
it didn't matter what the surface was, I would try and hit as many shots as I could with a backhand.
If I could get to a forehand with enough time, I'd do a reverse backhand x]
Literally, backhand was like my best shot.
Especially topspin backhand. Not even my coach could return my topspin backhand x]

Gahh I miss tennis so much =/

apparently, all my shots are naturally all really topspinny? i can't really play flat that well because i'm not the strongest, so i resort to spins often. XD

Well. in singles, two people thwack said ball around inside the singles court, which is everything except those two outer alleys on either side. they have to hit the serve, or the first ball into the opposite upper box on the opposite side. that's basically it.

Ahhh I love spin.
It's such a good tactic x]
There's nothing wrong with my flat groundstrokes,
I just get so bored hitting them flat.
Plusss, I find that topspin makes things so much harder for the other person to return.
Oh and the best is, if you do an entire rally in topspin,
and then throw in a slice dropshot,
the oponent gets so shocked.
It's hilarious x]

Although, I pretty much fail at putting spin on my serves.
Literally, my tennis coach had a nightmare teaching me to slice serve.
But I have a really, really wierd serve x]

that's pretty much my tactic when i'm at the baseline. three deep into the corner, one short inside the service box. wins me more than you know. XD

Ahaaa, yeahh that's such genius x]
Especially in doubles, if you rally it with the baseline player cross court,
and then you throw in a slice dropshot down the line, so the net player can't reach it,
but there's no way in hell the other player could get there on time x]
I loved doing that haha x]

question.
so if a player is able to break a players serve and win the set on the others serve, it would then be easier for them to win right?
because they have the advantage of serving next?

My gran's watching it right now.

I love watching Wimbledon. I get SO into it, I sometimes end up throwing stuff at the TV because I get so irritated too.
