Posts: 711 | January 23rd, 2009 at 10:29am My Chemical Romance's new single, Desolation Row, will receive its first official radio play in the UK this coming Monday (January 26) on XFM.
The track, which is a cover of a Bob Dylan classic, will make its debut over the airwaves on Steve Harris' show which starts at 7PM. You can tune in online at www.xfm.co.uk.
Desolation Row is taken from the soundtrack to the upcoming big screen adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' cult comic book series The Watchmen.
The track will be released as a digital download and as a limited edition 12" vinyl. The 12" will be limited to just 3,000 copies and will be backed with an extract from the film's score.
In related news, the full film soundtrack will be released in the UK on February 23 while the with the film itself will follow on March 6.

@ 7pm, if you're in the detroit/windsor area, 89X is gonna much more than likely play the song on the people's choice.
if it wins, it's played every night, same time,until it looses to the other song.
the radio dj heard it the other day + seems enthusiastic about it. he says it sounds like 80's punk, a bit more melodic of course.
if anyone's interested, you can listen online, but i don't know if you still have to sign up for the station's street team to tune in,but it's free and it IS MCR! |
