He has a heart of gold.
She has a heart of stone.
His heart is melting away.
Her heart is fading away.

He doesn't know it,
but he's kinder than he should be.
He's wiping away everyone else's tears,
when he should be wiping away his own.

She never knows what to be.
Her hearts to cold to care for anybody.
Alone in this world thats so dark.
Her heart is a skipping stone for all.

He may not know,
but he may soon just break down.
She may not know,
but her life is turning around.

He needs relief.
He needs compliments.
She needs love.
She needs someone to care.

He will see her.
She will see him.
Their hearts will collide.
A mystery, solved.

Together they match.
They need to know.
But this isn't just a story.
Its how they're destiny coming true.

Ready To Run

Do you remember those days?
Days of leisure and happiness.
The days of tag games and swingsets.
A smell of grass in the air.
The aroma of freedom.
Wind breezing across our faces.
Wide open spaces; free to run.
Hiding in the small crevaces of our playground
Are all the secrets we shared.
The gravel in our shoes,
And the outlined basketball courts
beneath our growing feet.
Following the feet up the steps,
to the highest highs of the playground.
Remember yourself
Throwing your arms up high.
Breathe in the air.
The air you once breathed.
Feel the rush of independance,
the start of you.
Chase the wind to the top of the slide.
Look out! Look out!
The slide is steep.
The ground seems to far to reach.
Look out over the trees,
up into the sky past the clouds.
Then sit down,
and take a deep breath.
You seem to fly down the slide,
the wind whipping your hair.
And when you reach the end,
you're relieved to feel the ground beneath you again.
Although we don't play on playgrounds,
or go down slides,
arent we always at the top of the slide?
Aren't we always waiting for the push?
Don't we always feel the rush,
the wind full of independance?
As we got older,
the slide turned into a platform.
You work your way to the top,
and when you reach it,
away you go.
Down the platform,
to start anew.
But we still find ourselves,
refreshed with independance.
And there are the fields once again.
Wide open spaces; ready to run.

Man, I need to stop having long absences from INO.

Look at the poetry I've missed! xD

Anyways, to your works.
What can I possibly say, but KICKASS to the max.
Odd thing for me to say, but true. Smiley

Very nice work, mon amie. Smile

My Dearest

My dearest heart,
I'm sorry for all the pain I am causing.
I hate the fact that you hurt all the time.
I'm sorry that I'm messing up the beats.

My dearest lungs,
I'm sorry that when I'm talk to him I forget to breathe.
I hate that he doesnt know I'm holding on so tightly.
I forget how important you are when I think of him.

My dearest legs,
I'm sorry that I make you run all over to find him.
I hate the fact that you ache because of me.
I dislike the fact that I'm using you as my acomplice.

My dearest arms,
I'm so extremely sorry for the way that you look.
I hate the bruises and scars I've inlficted on you.
I remember when you were so clean and clear.

My dearest eyes,
I'm sorry that you can't focus when I refuse to pay attention.
I hate the fact that you cry so many tears because of him.
I wonder if maybe they hurt you as much as they hurt me.

My dearest mouth,
I'm sorry that I make you speak words that hurt.
I hate the fact that I use you as my deadliest weapon.
I know that you're so lonely from my lack of kind words.

My dearest ears,
I'm sorry I blare loud music into you.
I hate the fact that I'm damaging you every second.
I know that the same song gets old quickly.

So all in all,
my poor, deprived body,
I can't explain my ways to you.
I can only meerly apologize.

So forgive me,
But it's not me only to blame.
Blame him,
The one who can't notice me,
because of the distance between us.

He's the reason for everything.
My only reason.
So blame him.
It's his fault that I want him.

I like the repetition of "my dearest" in the first couple of stanzas. ^_^
The ending was killer as well. xD

What can I say? Well done. Smiley

Tulip Among Daisies

Among daisies,
there will always be a tulip.
Hidden behind,
out of eyes reach.

But really,
its right in front of you,
waiting to be found,
holding hopes to dear.

Like life,
love is right in front of you,
taking over one body at a time,
like infectious disease.

A girl I know,
is falling for you.
She's right in front of you,
waiting for you to notice.

She has a terrified heart,
but she's willing to give it to you.
Don't die, she pleads,
For I cannot bear to loose you.

My world, incomplete without you.
You make me stronger.
This may not be love,
but it's close enough.

She screams;
I am the tulip in your daisy field,
awaiting the savior,
of your loving human eye.
Your Ghost.

Molly

Molly leaves in the night.
The book in her hands so tight.
The lies swarm through her tangled mind.
If she leaves she'll be hard to find.

The street is empty and lonely.
Molly, the only.
Her feet tell her the path to take.
Her death won't be fake.

Among many lost women of all kind,
She knows who she is leaving behind.
No matter what she really thinks,
she was already on the insanity brink.

A dark colored car pulls up.
An eery pick-up.
The man at the wheel asks for her name.
"Molly." This is not for fame.

To torture herself would be cruel.
But for another to toruture her is her tool.
Someone else must always be to blame.
Molly, she brings up so much shame.

She never wanted anything.
Others wanted everything.
Molly was good at bringing things on herself.
Like the loss of her journal on the third shelf.

You may read yet not achieve.
You may seek, and never leave.
You may hurt, and rape a soul.
You never hurt Molly.

Maybe she ran away for love.
Maybe she finally saw her white dove.
Or maybe someone stole her innocence.
And they escaped by jumping the fence.

Molly, Molly.
She died in the dark, in an eery pick-up.
The clouds came down to lift her up.
But when she is found they only see bones.

Oh Molly, if you never left that night.
If only you weren't holding your journal tight.
And lies weren't swarming your mind.
Maybe you would have been easier to find.

Tulip Among Daisies: I thought it was a sweet poem, excellent! xD

Molly: I LOVED the story telling in this one. It all flowed together to a good ending. ^_^

Excellent work on both poems, mon amie. Smiley

Shocked Sorry for the fact that there haven't been any new poems this week. I'm not feeling the slightest bit poetic, which is odd for me. Maybe something will come along. Keep a look out for me thoughh, I will be backk.

Its Just How Things Go...

What goes up,
must go down.
Nothing you can do will hurt me,
nor will it make you any better.

If lies are how you thrive,
then so be it.
But I don't want any part,
of your nasty scheme anyway.

I know who I am,
not even the slightest opinion would change that,
and neither will you.
Take your sugar-coated lies elsewhere.

Leave me to dwell with people of love,
ones who respect me.
I don't care about you or losing you,
so you might as well leave.

You may think you're at the top,
but you're really at the bottom.
'Cause what goes up...,
comes down a hell of a lot harder.

SHINE

You pointed a finger at the Dream Island which appeared
"Your world is awfully small"
Sneering at the perfectly clear blue.

Still I'm without fins*
Not knowing your true face**
So much beauty
as it carries...***
My feet are covered in hot sand.****

I'm unable put this throbbing sensation into words
Feeling like this for the first time

"Please don't leave."
"It hurts together."
Not giving me a choice my feet started to run

Let's talk soon Let's talk even now
"Because for your sake I would soar the sky"

The waves left a letter from you behind
It says "I like you very much"...
Your Ghost.

You know that you can make your own thread for your poetry, right? The poem is great, though.
