lostkoey Killjoy Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 35 | In HK,very few people like rock music,so MCR is not famous in Hong Kong. There are just one or two shops selling US CDs. Listening to their CDs and finding their news from the internet are the only two things I can do about MCR. I bet they will never come to HK and I can never watch their show. The only thing I can do is finish the schoollife and earn money to visit US but it have to take a long time.(Im just 14 now) I have so many difficulties to know MCR. My prerents always object me to listen to their music because they dont like MCR's look and the bloody style. They are so conserbative to accept them, just like when I was watching"life on the murder scene", they would just obstruct me and said they had to watch the TV program eventhought it was showing cartoon at that time. Do anyone of you have a same problem of me?Please share. PS. Sorry for my poor English |

Saint_Emilina Jazz Hands Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 309 | I'm in Malaysia, which is worse in my opinion It sucks cos there aren't many bands that come here to perform!! Recently, the pathetic excuse for a band which I fucking hate the most [The Click Five ] came to perform and they were everywhere!! They were aired on TV almost EVERY day!! I was like, "GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY COUNTRY, ASSHOLE BOYBAND!!!!" |
lostkoey Killjoy Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 35 | Saint_Emilia: too bad...I know it is a very bad feeling. The most famous "group" in HK ,called "Twins" I hate them most they sing bad, not beautiful, dont even know one musical instrument... They just like speaking the lyrics out everytime I saw them on the TV,I really want to broke the TV down! |

Yupper Motor Baby Age: - Gender: - Posts: 846 | Caaaanada. Yeah I know, MCR sometimes comes to Canada. But they only go to like, Ontario or Quebec. They'll NEVER come near the Maritimes. It sucks. |
KeY_tO_cHaOs Jazz Hands Age: - Gender: - Posts: 348 | oh yeah, they almost never come to Winnipeg...:'( |
KeY_tO_cHaOs Jazz Hands Age: - Gender: - Posts: 348 | Also, my parents are stupid about MCR. I posted a MCR poster on the exterior of my door and they're all like: No!!! MCR stays inside your room. I don't want to see them!! |
na. Shotgun Sinner Age: 33 Gender: - Posts: 9617 | I live in Australia, which isn't too bad. MCR is on Channel V (the primary music channel here) almost every other week, and the mag distribution here is good, if not a little behind, so I get the fix there, too. But they've only been here once and that was supporting Green Day. Never done a headlining tour here. They didn't do Australia TOC because, I suppose, they were already touring here two months after. I didn't actually get to see them w/ Green Day, because I was stupid and didn't get my hands on the tickets in time. But the thing that annoyed me most, was my friends went into the city, all dolled up in black and glitter and shite, the day of the Melbourne show, and they went into this shop and the guy that worked there asked them if they were going to Green Day (bad enough, just like a slap in the face). They said no, and then he asked if they'd gone to the show the night before. Turns out that MCR had done a surprise gig at the Hi-Fi bar the night before, and it was an all-ages show. Trust, we grrrrred for days. |
Saint_Emilina Jazz Hands Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 309 | lostkoey: Yeah, I've heard of Twins. My cousins love them for some reason. Then again, I'm the only one in my entire family (Including my father and mother's side of the family) who embraces rock 200 %! |
Spaztastic Salute You in Your Grave Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 3161 | I'm in the U.S., but last summer when I went to Greece I brought my stereo with me. I was listening to it outside my hotel and a couple of Greeks came up to me and asked what band I was listening to. So the next day I was outside again and I saw them again. The came up to me and said they found MCR's CD in this one store and bought it. Hehe I influence forgeiners to listen to them. |
Evil_Alice Motor Baby Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 830 | -Vampira-: Fucking hell! I'm from Greece! Where abouts were you? I live on Crete (island -_-) and NO-ONE knows MCR! I had to drive 2 and a half hours to a record store to get the CD! Of course, quite a lot of people know the name mcr...cause I scribbled it quite a lot on the walls of my school...the desks...the lockers...the gym...hehehe. But also, there's these STUPID goddamn CD collections out called "Boulevard of Broken Dreams I and II'- original title, huh? Anyway, they've basically collected together all the songs that someone who was already into rock would know- Helena is on the first one and Ghost on the second. So I guess a few people know of them, at least. But I really get the impression I was the only one on my whole goddamn island who likes them. People, never come to live in Greece. It sucks. And especially on an island. Evanescence and Marylin Manson have come in the past, but they only did shows on the mainland and cause a) I couldn't afford a ferry ticket and b) my goddamn parents wouldn't let me...so I COULD NOT GO! *mumblemumble* Oh well. At least I'm going to college in England in two months! Hahahaha....TAKE THAT, YOU GREEK MUSICAL MORONS!!!! Okay, rant officially over ^_^' |
Spaztastic Salute You in Your Grave Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 3161 | I was in Athens. That's pretty cool that you're from Greece. It was creepy when I was there 'cause everyone was speaking to me in Greek and I was like Um...yeah...what was that?" But yeah I have no clue where those people went to get the CD since I went looking for a store like that with my older sister. We couldn't find one. But of course we don't live there so we had clue where the music stores where lol. That sucks that it sucks on Crete. I was gonna go there on a cruise but that one cost too much. That would be weird if I knew you before, and went there, and saw you O.o |
Evil_Alice Motor Baby Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 830 | ^_^ that would be fucking rad! I have never met another mcr fan in real life. How pathtic is that, neh? But that's what happens if you live in the middle of NO-WHERE....! Grrr..... There's a chain of CD stores in Greece called Metropolis, that's where I bought the mcr cd- at the same time as GC's Chronicals of Life and Death and Green Day's American Idiot. (That was one very good shopping trip ^_^) but it really sucks having to go so far all the time...and the people over here all listen to Greek music... Hehe, if ever the accosted-by-Greek-people-who-refuse-to-realize-the-rest-of-the-planet-doesn't-speak-Greek thing happens again, just tell them "Re malaka, den xero Ellinika!" that'll sort 'em. |
Stuck On Maggie Salute You in Your Grave Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 2197 | Saint_Emilia: What part of Malaysia are you from? My mom's from Kuala Lumpur |
Spaztastic Salute You in Your Grave Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 3161 | Kill.Me.: Dude I'm sooo going back to Greece now. Just to meet you lol. "Yeah mom let's go back to Greece. There's this one MCR fan I wanna meet." Lol! That would be awesome if I could go back. Doubt I will though! Damn not being wealthy >.< Guess I'll be staying in Chicago until I get the money. (like that will happen) hehe ^.^ |
Evil_Alice Motor Baby Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 830 | Wow, you live in chicago? You're so goddamn lucky...I dream of coming to live in the US...it'll probably have to wait till after Uni, though, cause my parents (or, more accuratly, my father) will cut off my funds if I told him I was planning on moving to 'the enemy' country....-_- asshole. ;_; I wish I could meet you... |
lostkoey Killjoy Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 35 | HAHA...this post seems can help us to find MCR fans from the same country:] |
