Thanks, guys. You're good for my ego. And considering I had to spend most of today feeling like an idiot because I'm one of only 2 in my leadership group *not* following the Olympics, I needed that. (I don't understand why it's such a huge deal to everyone that I don't waste my life in front of a television!) /spam

I'm curious now to see if the Hardcover Special Edition will mention the Eisner award, or if it will stay as it was before.

im really sorry if everyones already noticed this, and you're all thinking "how long exactly did it take you to figure that out? *rolls eyes*",
but reading a magazine article from 2005 i noticed with a start that they wrote that "When Gerard was still working in comic books, his favorite creation was The Amazing Goffo Brothers, Piano Movers Extraordinaire. A black comedy set in a creepy, anonymous city, it was a metaphor for the relationship between him and his younger brother, Mikey."

jump to near the end of part six of the umbrella academy, when "outside the hospital, we met two brothers...piano movers named Giovanni and Horatio Goffo who we asked for a lift home...the thinner and more talkative of the piano movers who noticed it first."

again, sorry if this was noted AGES ago, i just thought it was awesome Smile

xx

yes thanks for posting, that's very interesting.
I'll think about that when I finally get my issue.
Gonna take forever, it seems. I want it now, as well as my TUA shirt!

woohoo, I finally got #6 today and my TUA-shirt!
I re-read the whole series and yet again, I'm amazed.
Gerard is an amazing story-teller.

Edit: Voted!

I bet I sound like such a teenie or somehting.
But I heard about TUA last year and I really wanted to buy it.

I didn't have the money =( and also I have no idea where to get any of them
Does anyone know where I can buy the comics from the start in England?
Because I really want to read them.

glad this thread is here, i'd love news on when the new series comes out!
I saw on a photo that there was a poster behind Gerard saying 'The Umbrella Academy; November 2008'
Can anyone confirm that?
And i can't find the picture :/

*sigh*

Release date for TUA Dallas is November 26, 2008. Click, then scroll down a bit to the date. You can see both covers.

Damn but that Jo Chen cover for Buffy #19 is fucking gorgeous....

Or, you can click here and see what was already posted by Craig Owens earlier in this thread.

Haha, touche.

Issue #2's cover intrigues me. I wonder if it's vitally relevant to the plot.
