Once upon a time...I was a GC fan.
They pretty much got me into the music I'm into now [thank you very much GC]
But, it's never a band I stop liking, it's the teenie fans that start liking them when they get too popular... |

Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 749 | July 15th, 2006 at 02:30am GC will always have a place in my heart. I went to see them last year with my best mates (who now live all over the world) and had the best time. I'll never forget it. |

Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 40307 | September 24th, 2006 at 03:26am What a history I have with this band.
The band that I lost my concert virginity to.
The first rock band I ever liked.
Good Charlotte was my first everything.
And old GC is better than any other GC music.
And I'm talking about their very first self titled album, not The Young And The Hopeless.
I'll always have a special place in heart for Good Charlotte. |

Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 749 | September 24th, 2006 at 03:37am ^ True. Their first album is like "hey, we're complete losers and we don't care". And I like that. Cos I'm a complete loser. Haha! |

No, you shouldn't care. If you like them, then you like them. Don't let people make fun of you for it. |

I still adore Good Charlotte. Surely, the old stuff is so much better, but The Chronicles Of Life And Death has some really good moments.
I love, love them.
I just wish I would've never heard Keep Your Hands Off My Girl. |

Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 4551 | November 17th, 2006 at 06:57pm Meh. I like the intro to their [second?!!?] cd. But the rest...is okay, I suppose. I'm not here to hate, though.
Some of the songs are good, but I didn't really get into them that much. I own their cd [and lost it XD oops.], but I don't listen to them anymore.
I like MCR waaayyy betta.

Light Up; Flurry! Salute You in Your Grave
Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 4000 | November 17th, 2006 at 08:04pm I love the, really. I don't have any of their newer stuff, (past YatH) but I swear, I love them so much. I discovered them when I was 14...or maybe just as I turned 15. I was soooooooo into their stuff. It was perfect for me at the time, and I listened endlessly to them. LOve.
They even sort-of aided me in starting my friendship with one of my BEST friends now. We sort of bonded over our love for them, and then became best of friends over the years. I love her so. And I don't know about her, but I definetely credit GC with helping strike that friendship. :clapp::
So, anyway. I still listen to them a lot, even though a lot of ppl make fun of them. They're very, very, very special to me.
Screamer, The Motivation Proclamation, and Change are some of my favorites, but I love most all off the first 2 CDs.
I remember having to replay The Motivation Proclamation song over and over in my head some mornings just to get out of bed.
Words I live by and for.
Motivate me, I wanna get myself out of this bed.
Captivate me, I want good thoughts inside of my head.
I just love that song. |
