I'm not sure, I could go on, but it all depends on the style of what the person is playing.
Frank and Ray are amazing but:
Angus Young
Gilby Clarke
Richard Z. Kruspe
Scott Ian
Billie Joe Armstrong
and Martin L. Gore are also really great. I can't decide
i cant choose either. why cant there be three or four equally- as- good best guitar players in the world?? i know, because it doesnt sound cool... but dammnit, it's hard to choose just one!!!
Jimmi Page
Jimmy Hendrix
Ray Toro
Steve Vai
Frank Iero

Jimi Hendrix. He wasn't in any type of music, he was a league of his own. He's left handed, he's taught himself, and if he's that freakin good you know it's sheer talent. I love him.
HE died on my riend Racha's birthday though (not in that time period, just the date, not the year)
Slash from the old Guns n' Roses, and now Velvet Revolver, and Angus Young of AC/DC... today I just learned of Michael Angelo from Nitro... FREAKING amazing guitarists... all of them just blow my mind.. And even though MCR has yet to reach a legendary band status, Ray can definitely hold his own in a crowd of legendary guitarists.
I must warn you though. He's in a progressive metal band. So it has wierd finger picked parts and massive reverb parts. XD
Nothing for the narrow minded I guess.
