Also, when they record, they hook up their guitars into a machine that doubles and randomizes the notes that they're playing. Also, they overlap a lot. But I've seen a kid on YouTube who can actually play all the fake stuff they made, better than they can in the studio.

also.
billie joe, frank iero, and ray toro aren't all that great. Billie Joe only did good solos in the first album, now every single song he plays is all power chords. Frank mainly just plays power chords.
And Ray's good, but I wouldn't rank him as one of the best.
Two best guitarists in my opinion are Matthew Bellamy and Chris Cheney. |

And I'd be wrong not to mention Ray Toro. He's not on the same level as Slash, but his solos always blow me away.
Maybe I'm just partial to the fro's |

Kirk Hammett - Metallica
Muhammed Suicmez fron Necrophagist
Jimmy Hendrix
Alexi Laiho - COB
Not saying they're necessarily the best, even though they're all really good guitarists - they're just my favourites.
And best rythmn guitarist = James Hetfield |

Lol, a couple of my friends saw them live, they all say they suck xDD
Going back to the first page, about how Frank is more of a great performer than a great guitarist, I think that maybe because he's not the lead guitar, he doesn't do many solos (I think), that's why it seems that way. He's not a legend guitarist, but he still got mad skillz and the performing and energy definitely adds to that |

Ray Toro - he may not be the best EVER, but he has brilliant guitar solos.
Frank Iero - again, talent-wise, maybe not up there with Mr. Li. But I love his style - it can be creative and absolutely beautiful, and he has a lot of originality in the way his harmonies fit in with the music. |
