Realistically, I think it's fair to say he partly revolutionised guitar-playing. |

Age: 14 Gender: Male Posts: 415 | January 6th, 2008 at 08:20am Eh, Syn Gates isn't the best guitarist in the world ever. He's damn good, though (a lot better in their older albums, actually).
The only outstanding guitar work from Dan Jacobs I really hear is from Bleeding Mascara, which is just a series of simple arpeggios and scales. |

Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 19596 | January 11th, 2008 at 02:30pm I'ma name Angus Young, because of not only his maaaad guitar skillz, but also because (from the numerous DVDs I've watched) he had an excellent stage presence and performance.
He really engaged the crowd, and I think it's getting less frequent to see these days. |

Age: 17 Gender: Male Posts: 1307 | January 22nd, 2008 at 02:18pm Yeah im a massive fan of the big Four
Page
Clapton
Hendrix
BBking.
Page cos all the riffs that zeppelin do were just massive epics and just timeless i mean blackdog just screams play mee and so i learnt it.
Clapton cos of his versatility, i mean a career spanning about fourty years hes played the blues, rock , pyschadelic rock acoustic jazz and whatever he does is just mindblowing
Hendrix cos his playing was just new, it changed the way guitarist solod and took virtuosity took a new level and his riffs and solos evoke so much out of people well at least to me they do.
BBKing cos his careers been for yonks and although hes not as versatile as clapton or as freakout as hendrix or page but he plays with so much conviction and power and he really is just a bluesman but hes amazing at what he does.
i really dont thikn toro is that good i mean hes good but his playing has yet to show any distinction, it just seems really bland to mee like i know people take inspiration from places but he really hasnt invented his own stylee yett its sorta metallica'y in some places but queen like as well but its really just mixed |

 | February 26th, 2008 at 07:29pm Syn Gates, Brian May, Matt Tuck,
and yes, Ray Toro and Frank Iero, in their own ways. Just because theyre not great shredders doesnt mean theyre not good guitarists. Ray is really talented on guitar, and his style is really interesting. Frank is great too, he doesn't shred but who cares?, he's still v. talented and he cant half play the thing on stage =] |
