Mince pie is like a pie. So it has a pastry crust.
But the filling is dried fruit. Mostly raisins, currants, apricots, cherries.
It doesn't sound revolting or anything, I just hate the taste. |

we don't have enough room this year, since we've got a lot of new stuff my parents brought back from Texas. so we're getting a little tree that comes in a flower pot, rofl. it reminds me of a charlie brown christmas, really.
we don't have any decorations up yet, I'm supposed to do some today.
for the past 13 years our tradition on christmas eve is to have a "picky dinner". we sit in the living room and talk or watch christmas movies like a christmas story, while eating finger foods. stuff like cheese & crackers, pizza bites, chips & dip, veggies & dip, and just stuff like that. and then my brother and I get to open one gift that night.
christmas is different every year. usually it's my stepdad up first at around 9:30, and I'm up around 10:30. we always sit in the living room and watch TV, make coffee and wait for my brother and mom to get up.
after we've done presents we make a big breakfast, and then have a huge turkey dinner.
that's pretty much all of my families "traditions" and stuff. |

It's being partially held up by a string on a pole because the trunk's crooked.
The skirt is over 25 years old and my mother refuses to get rid of the fucking thing.

which i will never get the hang of, probably, saying as i was never a phone person.
and i'm going to see my relatives in the Phillipines for the holiday week with my mom and brother. and my dad's going to see his parents, sister, and nephew in Hong Kong. i don't really know why my dad's not coming with us. but i wish my whole family a merry Christmas.

I have to be at my grandparent's house at 2PM Christmas Eve, then at Nathan's grandparent's house at 5:30PM. Christmas morning, I need to be at my mom's between 8 and 9AM, then at Nathan's mom's at noon, and at my uncle's house by 4:30PM. |
