i like mcr because

1. their music saved me from killing myself

2. since I won't listen to my parents and I won't listen to my friends they give me someone to listen to (with the inspirational things they say in interviews and onstage)

3. Their music is inspires me and gives me a reason to live. it cheers me up when I'm upset/angry/depressed etc

4. they're real.

5. Good role models for people to look up to. (ie tell girls not to flash, not racist/sexist/homophobic

Well, for a number of reasons:
-They're all really talented at what they do.
-They're music is awesome!
-They're not horribly fake, as many other bands.
-They make you feel as if you don't need to act like someone else in order to lead a happy life.
-In a way, they're kind of keeping me alive; listening to Gerard (All of them, not just him) talk sometimes makes me question my 'self-harming' situations.
-They seem pretty down to earth and nice to their fans.
-They're not like any other band I've listened to, and their creativity just.. amazes me and keeps drawing me back for more.

5.)The band members are the coolest and they're down to earth.

I don't like many things about MCR.
Actually, it's getting hard to name one.
Uh oh.
I should be shot now.

I like how it is not just, "Oh I love this girl and she loves me and we are happy as can be."
And I also like how it is not, "You broke my heart know I am going to break yours."
It is very deep and I love not just the words to the songs but the way the music matches with everything. Sometimes you get a song from a band and the music is great but they words are horrible or the words are great but the music is horrible.

That is why I like MCR.

To be honest I first got into them because it was a relief that they weren't using synthesizers. If anyone recalls, when Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge first came out the big thing on the pop and rock scene was synthesizers. They were using them for everything from backround music to making voices sound cool or whatever. I hated it. Then along comes this band, and they're not using any!

I'll admit, I didn't like them anymore for a while after that because being forced to listen to Three Cheers every day for four months just didn't make me happy. Actually it made me very angry. It didn't help at the time I was working in a nursing home. Anyway, eventually I just got Stockholm syndrome and started liking them again. And like the inmate who takes over the asylum, I'm crazy but I'm happy and in charge. Meaning my sister is now suffering because I love MCR now and my admiration has outstriped her own.

Anyway, I think the main reason I really like their music is that alot of songs do have anger in them, and it's anger towards things I can actually relate to. There for it makes great venting music. When I'm very angry about something if I don't put a fist through one of the walls first, I go out into the garage and scream along with MCR for about an hour or two. Yes I realize the anger thing is a problem but I'm working on it. But hey, MCR is here to display there are five guys just as f***ed up as I am, and that makes me happy. Wow, I rambled alot!

does there have to be a reason they have awesome songs they are awesome they look awesome they talk awesome they dress awesome they are awesome and i will always love them they have made myself feel better when my day was like crap basicly i could go on all day but i dont have the time

they also actualy play an instrument unlike other bands

I have no fucking idea but I like them. I think I have so many damn reasons I can't really find just one.
