Also, when they record, they hook up their guitars into a machine that doubles and randomizes the notes that they're playing. Also, they overlap a lot. But I've seen a kid on YouTube who can actually play all the fake stuff they made, better than they can in the studio.

billie joe, frank iero, and ray toro aren't all that great. Billie Joe only did good solos in the first album, now every single song he plays is all power chords. Frank mainly just plays power chords.
And Ray's good, but I wouldn't rank him as one of the best.
Two best guitarists in my opinion are Matthew Bellamy and Chris Cheney.
Matt Bellamy isn't such a technical guitarist, and he uses a lot of effects, but shit, the stuff he comes up with, just the originality and the whole etiquette of the bands songs.. totally puts him up there.
Ya don't need to shred like Dragonforce (faggots) to be good.

i have to say BucketHead and Jason Becker, JASON BECKER JASON BECKER JASON BECKER.
jason becker is the best and the most beautiful and the most inspirational, hands down.
and also Paul Gilbert is a great speed guitar player but all in all i have to say jason becker is god. look him up and learn about his story, he's amazing. |
