This Is How I Disappear

I think this is about the Patient telling his lover he's dying, and not the other way around.

But several lines, such as "To unexplain the unforgivable", "there's things that I have done you never should ever know" makes me think that he has done something awful, something unforgivable.

And also, the chorus and "I'm just a ghost, so I can't hurt you anymore" tells that he has hurt someone, perhaps his lover. Perhaps he wants to commit suicide, or just run away, so he can't hurt a person again.

I think this song is sincerley about a depressed soul who has recently died and can't understand that they are no longer living and are even more upset because they can't see thier loved ones ever again

I believe Gerard said one of the songs on this album was written about Houdini and his love life or something like that. I'm going to assume this is the song he was referring to.

at first glance, it sounds like someone doing a seance maybe in a basement (seance down below) and maybe the ghost is on the streets (by street light) and ther trying to communicate to the person doing the seance telling them that without them they disappear i dont know much about this wholeee.... seance thing maybe u can tell haha. then maybe this is what the person is doing the seance says?

I think that it's either a man telling his lover that without her he is lost without her on her deathbed....

sense i think the songs 'Dead' 'How I disappear' and 'The black Parade' r telling a story,it might be a girl telling her love that she can't live without him.it's a sad love song

When I hear this I think it means that the Patient wants his lover to tell him she's going to heaven, and he's thinking that if she goes to heaven and he doesn't, that's how he'll disappear.

This song to me is about how the paitent is thinking over his life and some parts of it he's regreting and others he's trying to re-live maybe
It's my favourite of the album i just love a lot of the dark imagery that i picture with it

i think its about a guy and his girlfriend and she is dying. how she cant explain it to him, and if she dies that is how he disappears, and he lives his life alone forever, and because she is dead he wishes he could talk to her and say that all good girls like her go to heaven. but instead he dies and he is calling out to her and wondering if she could hear him, but he is glad hes dead beacuse he cant hurt her anymore

The Patient knows that he's dying and he blames it on the disappointment and lost loves of his life. This is a very low point for him as he is not quite ready to let go of life and wishes he could go back and do it all over again. At this point he is very angry and bitter about the way his life has turned out --"Drain all the blood and give the kids a show"--. This song to me is represented by Fear and Regret, the twins featured in the artwork, and it also reminds me of Mikey's struggle with depression during the creation of this album.

I think this song is about realising all he's going to lose when he dies. I think it is also him thinking of how people will cope without him.
