He says that he'll meet her eyes, as they're dieing. does this not mean that he's trying to reassure the peron he loves, that even as he dies, he'll try to let her know that tehy'll be okay soon, and the pain will end. Then They'll be together. Forever

The song is really beatufil. yeah, its a long song but if you really listen to the lyrics, it will change you.

I absolutely adore the story of the demolition lovers. this is my interpretation of the story.

My interpretation is that demo woman and demo man are running from the law. And throughout them hiding and lying underground, the demo man is trying to prove his love to her and he's trying to fix things in their past relationship but the demo woman just doesnt love him anymore. But she's so lonely and can't go through this alone that she ends up using Demo man. And the demo man is so in love with her and honestly borderline obsessed with her that he would do absolutely anything for her just for her to love him as much as he loves her. He would kill anybody for her and even kill himself.


The demolition lovers are eventually caught and they are shot to death. Demo man ends up in purgatory and he finds out by the devil that demo woman is still alive. Demo man makes a deal with satan to revive himself to be with demo woman again. He has to kill and retrieve the souls of 1000 evil men. After all that the Demolition Lovers are reunited.

Demo man, realizing demo woman will just never love him he's finally at his breaking point. He gets a truck full of ammunition and loads her and himself up on liquor. Hes going to make her commit suicide with him so they can die together and live forever together in the afterlife. Demolition Man's final act of proving his love and dedication to her is killing themselves together. The demolition lovers lived long miserable lives that they thought it would be easier to just die together and be forever in peace. ( or i guess in hell )


Demolition Lovers is a heartbreaking gut-wrenching story told through the albums created by MCR.
The first album being “ I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love” and the second, “ Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge” which ends the tragic tale of the Demolition Lovers.
