I think that this song makes a reference to "The Bell Jar" by Sylvia Plath,
"Looking into her killing glass, she poked the holes so I could breath."

I believe that Gerard said that this song was about drug addiction almost entirely.

but the whole "pull your plug but id like to learn your name
like i know this is lame
but to ME, that means, like he wants to know the REAL you.
you know what i mean.
kinda like let that other bull shit die and let me see the real you.
Im not saying that is it, but that is i guess my own personal meaning.

I think it is about drugs and how people act when they are on drugs and whatnot. It could also be metaphorical tor something else.

Reminds me of a hard-rock Hotel California by the Eagles, which was about drugs

So yeah

And the 'Jetset Life' is partying, so yeah...

Does anyone know what a 'Killing Jar' is? Or is it a euphamism?

believe this song is most likely about addiction and suicide. What, with constant talks of "holding on", "the last night" and "when the cops come". Plus and this "Jetset lifestyle" is a drug reference I believe, not being able to keep up with everything around you. Hotel Bella Muerte means the "Hotel of beautiful death". Hotel could be referring a place that the mind goes temporarily.
good ain't i...?

Yep i agree with almost everyone here. It's about drug addiction and (most likely) Gerard's dangerous love affair with it.
"All right, give up. It's just the hardest part of living."
There's a female character who wants him to quit, or "pull the plug." - come clean, get sober.
I wonder, but this female persona might be Elena (his grandmother)

A killing jar is used by bug/butterfly collectors. It is just a jar with cotton on the bottom. The cotton is soaked in ether so that when you catch a butterfly you can put it in the jar. The butterfly dies without harming its wings then it can be displayed.

Gerard is half Italian and although I don't know if he can speak Italian I think he is saying "bella morte." The Italian for beautiful death is very close to Spanish, Bella Muerte.

I think it's about life in the fastrack...the "jetset life" if you will, and all it's perils. Drugs, alcohol, partying too much, etc.
