you're standing then, right? so by front row seats, you mean, at the front, barrier? =]. or maybe the venue you're going to, if there's seats they aren't coded/numbered, it's like first come, first serve?
this is going to sound pretty early, but to be in with a chance of getting to/very near the front (and this is an approximation, from my experience) you may have to be queueing from very early morning...and i'm talking like 8am/9am at the very lastest if you do want to be at the front.
some people come at like 3am in the morning and sit outside the venue in sleeping bags, and wait there till like 8pm, when the doors open.
i went to a show of theirs in liverpool, in november, and there were people queing from early morning.
i sat in the queue from about 12pm, something like that, and it was pretty tough going, but it was worth it, i got about (in terms of rows of standing people) about 3/4 rows from the barrier, on the right side, where ray was.
it all really just depends on how long you're prepared to wait for.

Yes, Mrs. Halloween is right. I got to a My Chem show at 7:00 AM and I was luckily, the first one at the venue. But, if the venue is rather small (which I bet it isn't) you could get there just a few hours before the show and push your way to the front. Sometimes half the fun can be pushing your way to the front but if My Chem is your absolute favorite band, I would get ther early.

it also depends on the venue.....at some venues

IE: Allstate Arena where I'm going

They don't even open the parking lot till like 5:00 pm for the show...so yeah......and it's right by a major airport so I don't think they'd let you just park anywhere....

^But that's just the venue i'm going to....

Horribly early in the morning always works, or I've heard of some people getting there they night before and sleeping outside. Usualy there are people outside from about 9:00 am. Even then you have to run as soon as you get inside to the barrier. And not be able to go to the loo untill its over.

I've been told by someone who SERIOUSLY knows, that if you want good places, you get there around 7 or 8 a.m. I swear...it sounds bad...but to get the spot...maybe worth it.

And yes, I am going to follow my own advice. I will be skipping two classes at college for the March 14th concert.

yeah, i think she's talking about people on the floor. when she says 'front row seats' she means, standing at the front, by the barrier, which you have to queue long and hard for =p. or be really mean and push your way there. heh.

nooo there is nothing i hate more than the evil violent pusher-forward ppl! Im sorry but it annoys the hell out of me, its like i got here at 7am and now some little kid is beating me to death to take my place when they only got there five minutes before the show started!

Its totally not fair, but totally happens! So if your getting there early, and you manage to get on the barrier, you had better cling on for dear life, because it is hard even for the best clinger oners to stay there! hehe

^^. lol. that's very true.
one or two die hards trying to get to the front is okay, but when everyone pushes to try to be that tiny bit nearer the stage, you fear for your life if you are anywhere near the front!!!
catherine, remember andy said some girl was pinching him in the sides to try to get infront of him^^ haha. you really have to be tough if you want to keep your place at the front, because people will try to push you forward, elbow you, etc.
there's a lot of lovely people at gigs but there's also a lot of anger-ridden mean ones too. if someone pushes you, push them right back (but not in a violent way, lol) cause if you let people shove you around you'll end up for the worse.

^ That's very true. I've had it happen to me tons of times at concerts, I even got stabbed in the arm with a pen once at a Bryan Adams concert U_U very painful. She got kicked in the shins and crowd surfed to the back of the mob after that. People can be pretty cool too if you show you're not a bitch and you need the help. MCR shows are good like that, where the fans with look out for eachother when it comes to serious stuff. I doubt i'd ever get stabbed with a pen at one of their shows. >_<

But like everyone else has said, get there in the morning and be sure to be prepared to bolt to the stage when the doors open because I swear to everything holy, all the waiting in the world wont help you if you can't run. lol

People trying to push their way closer to the front completely ruined the P!ATD concert I went to. I don't really care about people pushing and stuff, but they were pinching, kicking and pulling my hair(!). That is, in my eyes at least, NOT acceptable. If you try to "worm" your way forward, that's cool, but pulling people's hair? When it's not even loose, but in a tight bun in the neck? Come on. Those people need to grow up.

And, to keep on topic: The bigger the venue, the earlier people tend to arrive. At the P!ATD concert (about 700 people) I was among the first ones in queue at 11.00 am. At the MCR concert (about 3000 people) there were probably about 500 people in front of me at 3 pm. But, that was in Denmark/Sweden. I don't really know how it is in other countries. Wink
