I've never used it myself, but there's a DVD called Zen of Screaming made by this voice coach who taught Randy Blythe from Lamb of God and Angela Gossgow from Archenemy among others, I suppose you could start there. There's some clips of it on youtube, it seems very thorough.

Watching a bit of her stuff on YouTube really helped. She's a very good screamer and taught me how to do it.
I didn't want to even start until I knew how to do it correctly because of all the injeries I'd heard about.

i would LOVE to scream like Corey Taylor, his is really growly, even though the pitch of his scream is high, the tone is low, and it comes from him screaming low and grolwing. but i still love being able to scream higher like bert mccracken and jay james

i've always wanted to be able to scream like the girl from flyleaf (completely blanked out on her name) except my voice coach would beat me to a pulp.

if i could learn how to do it safely i would LOVE to be able to do it.

I Admire Bert's Voice Because It Can Go So Amazingly Out Of Control Screaming Back To Singing In The Same Song.

i think you should talk to a singing teacher/vocal coach...my old singing teacher said something about it before...

Just put everything behind it, and don't believe anyone who says it has to come from the stomach. It has to come from the throat.

I can't really scream, but there's no real technique. I think I sound like Alex Varkatzas from Atreyu. I just let it out! I use a weird technique.

Well. Thing is. If you use technique it won't strain your voice. If you do it out of emotion. You could scar your singing voice.

yh. pretty much, i scream in the same tones as bert mccracken i just have a natural vibrato i rly need to control i just need places to practice.

That's not entirely true. Frank isn't that good of a singer. But damn..he can scream

i learned how to scream a month ago for the band im in, im the vocalist so i have to scream alot
it hurts your throat later on but practice is the best way
yeah screaming dosent come from yoru stomach. (how the hell does it come from your stomach??0_o)

It's not about screaming from the stomach it's how you use it can help you not strain your singing voice.

I'm trying to practice screaming too but it just damages my throat. But I'm still trying it though.
