^ Ah, yeah the baby part on the bus. XD EW!

I sort of squealed too, when I saw the French and understood it. I was like 'AIYE!! JE SUIS FAIT POUR! I AM DONE FOR! *insert cackling* "

Hehe.
My mom even warned me about it, since she dropped it off while I was at lunch.
I only understood a fragment of the French, though I was excited that Gerard even included it.
Tehe I like the French language.

It was refreshingly original, not at all what I expected. Very pleasantly surprised. My only concern is, I understand Gerard's desire to bring people into comics (I give kids comics all the time!) but I'm not sure something this *different* is the best gateway into what the comic world has to offer. I really felt that this was made more for comic fans -- not Gerard fans -- which made me love it just a little more than I might have based on the story alone.

It needs some time, it needs some character development, but the timing seems perfect and the story seems solid. All in all, I'll stick with it to see where it goes.

By the by, what's the best part about being the only chick in your comic shop to have an ongoing sub and is able to bring artists in for signings?

-- You're the one who gets the store's only copy of Gerard's variant cover as well as the regular one. Very Happy I love my comic book shop.

There was an alternate cover? : ( I did not know that. I'll have to go back and get it somewhere else. I can't stand the owner at the other store, he was weird to me again.

Is there going to be an alternate cover for the second issue too? Only asking because I don't know where to look for the info.

I think that Eiffel Tower incident that happened when the team was ten might come back to bite them...

But that's just me.

I nearly reached for a phone to check out and see if that was real.
But then I realized that 'M' wasn't on the 2 button.

what's the cover Gerard drew? I got the one with the Effiel Tower- is that the one? But YAY anyway I got it! i was so 'up for it' I got to the store before they put out the new releases in the arvo.

the babies made me go awwwwww...that random birth idea is so strange eh! i was giggling to myself as i was reading it on the train at the bloody baby on the train bit.

I love the artwork! it's so refreshing amongst all the marvel & dc styles out there.

and what an appropriate day for TUA to come out- it was a wet rainy, umbrellery day in Sydney Very Happy

This was the only picture I could find for the variant, it was on an eBay auction.

It's quite different from the James Jean cover. (So happy he's still doing the covers! He's amazing.)
