I think the song is about the patient himself and about a moment in life when you can't be pretentious anymore that you've always been a good person. You’ve done angelic deeds as well as bad ones. It’s part of every one of us. And now you’re afraid of what is awaiting you.

Rationally I don’t believe in heaven or hell, but since I've been brought up as a Protestant, I can’t completely cast off this fear that the idea of a “hell” has evoked in me. It’s still there lurking somewhere in my subconsciousness...it's strange...

Ive heard its about the patient getting transported to hell in a dream and gee imagined it had wolfs and scary stuff so they called it house of wolfs. I also think the patient is thinking about himself going to hell for how hes lived his life. I think he gets visited by a priest or vicar who wants to help him redeem his sins but hes not interested and mocks churches like that in the song. "ashes to ashes we all fall down I'm gonna sing the praise. Ashes to ashes we all fall down, we've got innocence for days" like saying look I've done achurch service now I'm sin free again- and he doesn't belive that. "Tell me I'm a bad man kick me like a stray,Tell me I'm an angel take this to my grave" means hes not sure whether he wants people to punish him or feel sorry for him. "as the blood runs down the wall, you see me creeping the hall" means he sees himself as a demon like in a scary movie.

I love this song! When gee does the church bit I see him in a vicars uniform in black doing a church service for ghools and ghosts in a dark church somewhere and they're all rejoicing in they're way. so cool.

I've never really thought about those lines in particluar. But I find this a good interpretation.

I think it's a criminal or rapist, someone really bad that The Patient meets on his way to heaven or to the land of death, either way, it's after he dies. This guy has done a lot of bad things and his community is praising his death, maybe he was put to death by the state. He knows he's going to hell and is telling this to The Patient. I think that people saw him kill someone because he says:
"And as the blood runs down the walls,
You see me creepin' up these halls."

That's just what I think, I definately don't think it's The Patient telling us that he was a bad man, I think it's just a bad dead person he meets after he dies.

I think its the patient finally coming 2 terms with all the bad shit he may have done in his lifetime, and that he thinks he might be goin 2 hell.

if the black parade is about the patient, dont ya reckon the last single they bring out would be famous last words unless thats his last words b4 he dies then that shud have been before welcome 2 the black parade. and if that is the case then im well and truly foncused.
