tennant. Full of Ephedrine Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 40420 | I think it's a fucked up dude that the patient meets. And it's a great song |
fallout vapor Jazz Hands Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 318 | House Of Wolves is one of my favorites. I think it's about a criminal who's feeling guilty and messed up, but at the same time just doesn't care. |
hiddenn. Salute You in Your Grave Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 3913 | Frank wrote part of this song. It was written in the Paramour House. He sat down and tried to write a song, and he didn't get anything, until he started to play things that his dad would like. He wrote the base of it. They said that they had remembered a cartoon (Road Runner) where a 'wolf' goes to hell, and he turns up in this 'hell' that is a club. And there are wolves playing jazz music. They said that it was also about how the patient was getting afraid that he was going to hell from the Black Parade. (This info is from an interview) |
Golden Cat Thinking Happy Thoughts Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 503 | ^^Might I ask, what is the Paramour House? *is stupid* "Well, I said, hey, hallelujah, I'ma come on, sing the praise. Let the spirit come on through ya, We got innocence for days!" Sounds sorta like he's mocking very religious people. "Well, I think I'm gonna burn in hell, Everybody burn the house right down." He's sinned a lot. "And I'll say, ha, what I wanna say!" I'll say whatever the heck I want, if I wanna swear or whatever I will "Tell me I'm an angel, Take this to my grave." no idea.. "Tell me I'm a bad man, Kick me like a stray." Shun me all you want but I couldn't care less "You play ring around the ambulance, Like you never gave a care." I think he's telling really religous people that they're always praying for sick and wounded people but they really don't care..? "And I said, ashes to ashes, we all fall down" Reminds me of other songs where they said "and we all fall down" and "did we all fall down?" "Well, I think I'm gonna burn in hell, Everybody burn the house right down." Again, he's sinned a lot and thinks he'll probably go to hell, so might as well do more bad stuff-burn the house down for example. "You better run like the devil, 'Cause they're never gonna leave you alone!" The really religous people are really critical of anything you do that isn't completely devoted to God. "You better hide up in the alley, 'Cause they're never gonna find you a home!" The really religous people won't accept you because they are too smug. "And as the blood runs down the walls, You see me creepin' up these halls." He killed someone...? "I been a bad motherfucker Tell your sister I'm another!" He's sinned a lot, he's not perfect. "And I should say what I wanna say." This line is self-explanetory. "Tell me I'm a bad, bad, bad, bad man. Tell me I'm a bad, bad, bad, bad man. Tell me I'm a bad, bad, bad, bad man. Tell me I'm a bad, bad, bad, bad man." The super-religous people can critisize and shun anything he does, he doesn't care "Yes I, yes I, yes I am!" He's saying "I guess I AM an evil person, compared to you. get over it" but that's just what I think.. |

technicolor. Demolition Lover Age: - Gender: - Posts: 18361 | Ladysaw731: no hes saying S-I-N listen real close i think the song about commiting sins but also doing good things... "Tell me I'm an angel, Take this to my grave." ^hes been good "Tell me I'm a bad man, Kick me like a stray." ^hes been bad idk im just guessing. |
wtf Killjoy Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 31 | First off, I'm pretty sure he's saying "S-I-N, I S-I-N" Soo...you can tell he's sinned, but some of the other lines say he doesn't care what other people think, he just wanted to live his life, and since he did that, he's ready for whatever *"he" being the Patient...sorry people!* ? |
run.to.the.hills Jazz Hands Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 341 | iflifeaintjustajoke: Uhm yeah. Id have to agree with that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he's saying S-I-N I S-I-N Basically he's spelling out, and saying 'I sin' over and over again. |
heartache to sing Bleeding on the Floor Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 1627 | I think it's "yes I am", it kinda makes sense because at the end of the song, doesn't he say "yes I am, oh yes I am"? That's what I always thought it was, but it does sound like he's saying "S-I-N" too. Dunno. But the song is about Hell. |
fxckingChelz'' Killjoy Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 55 | revengeisbittersweet: Yeah, that sounds good... i think the take this to my grave bit, is to say the GOOD things about him at a funeral or sumfin. and kick me like s stray, could mean, "please forget those bad bits" i dunno.... |
hiddenn. Salute You in Your Grave Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 3913 | run.to.the.hills: He's saying S-I-N I S-I-N, so yes, you are right. Because that's what Gerard said. (interview) And at the end, they scream S-I-N I S-I-N. |
Dead Guardian Angel Jazz Hands Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 280 | *He's saying S-I-N I S-I-N, so yes, you are right. Because that's what Gerard said. (interview) And at the end, they scream* That totally makes sense. I mean, the backstory of Black Parade is Patient dying and watching his life before his eyes. Maybe he realizes he's done too much shit and realizes he is, in fact, going to hell. I mean, look at the songs after House of Wolves, and maybe lyrics in the songs previous. You'll see what I mean. It's Patient focusing on the dark point of his life... It may also have to do with Gerard reflecting on when he hit Rock Bottom during his depression...I'm really not sure... *Sakura-chan* |
fxckingChelz'' Killjoy Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 55 | Dead_Guardian_Angel:Yea, everyone knows the patient thing . && i've said the same thing over and over again so ima shuttup bout that. But does anyone know what the next film clip is gunna be? cos i got an email from their official site, askin people to come to a certain place to be in their video...I couldnt -cry- i dont live in America-Land XD |
sea king Always Born a Crime Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 5613 | I think Frank actually wrote the tune/melody/whatever it's called for this song. From 'MCR Welcomes You To The Black Parade': Frank-"This song was writting in the Paramour House at a very dark time...I think we all felt a little spent by things that were going on, like personal issues, and you know, we put a lot into writing a lot of those songs up until that point, and it was like, we need some time to breathe. And I remember wanting to play at that point, for some reason, so I picked up Rob Cavallo's* really big clunky guitar and I tried to write a song really hard. For me, when I try to write a song, thats when nothing comes out. So I sat there & stared at the wall for an hour, and then I started playing stuff I thought my dad would like, and that kind of turned into the basis of 'House Of Wolves' ". |
sea king Always Born a Crime Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 5613 | Oops! I forgot something! The '*' is supposed to be for a spell check/person check. I'm not sure I heard them right. =P |
