This is one is STRICTLY about paedophilia.

Here are some points of discussion:
-What possible ways can paedophilia be stopped?
-What is a reasonable punishment for a convicted paedophile?
-Should the local community have a right to know if a paedophile resides in the area?

Children are innocent and do not need to be subjected to that kind of activity that can be potentially mentally scarring. However; phaedophiles do actually have histories of sexual abuse and it has warped them mentally so it isn't entirely their fault although it is still wrong and it IS their fault if they scar or kill a child |

I think that the ones who act on their urges or enjoy hurting children, have issues with control and feelings of inadequacy. A child is small, cannot fight back and is helpless, therefore, the person targets the person who cannot possibly win against him/her; the child.
It's the same basic principle as child abuse. Hit something that canot hit back, something that is incredibly easy to control and intimidate.
Personally, I think that it is all about control. |

I can't even imagine why someone would do that to a child.
I don't really understand how people can be sexually attracted to children when there isn't much to be attracted to you, I mean they're small and haven't had a chance to develop, but then again I guess I wouldn't understand as that doesn't even enter into my mind as being possible for ME. |

The only thing is, that the children that are acted upon are not willing participants in the act, and that is the only reason that it is wrong.
People have different tastes, and that is why paedophillia even exists. There is nothing more twisted about it than bondage, or drinking blood, or salivating over feet. Everyone has urges.
The only time it is wrong and needs to be seriously dealt with is when it shows itself physically. Otherwise, as long as you keep it to yourself and don't hurt anyone/act on it with anyone, it isn't a problem. |

having urges invites you to act upon them at some point
for example i like breasts of girls so i go out with a girl and feel her breasts
you like little kids you go find one and feel it up and thats bad

It isn't really healthy to surpress any emotions, but there are some emotions and urges that have to be supressed for not only the safety of those around you, but the mental soundness of yourself. Especially when your morals and ethics are telling you that something is wrong, but you want to do it anyway, and suffer guilt for it. |

I was watching a documentary last night about serial exposers (flashers) and how they can be treated, and a very good technique is to associate the flashing (which to them is erotic) with bad images, smells, tastes and also physical pain if necessary. |
