I think Rudd is slightly unrealistic.
i was talking to my friends last night, and (I didn't know this, but) he was saying that he's going to pull the troops straight out of Iraq.
It's not that easy. You can't just go, "Look, sorry guize, we've changed our mind. Don't fight anymore, we're taking you back home."
As much as John Howard was half-cowardly and his most important priority is George Bush, he really has contributed a great deal to Australia, and its economy.
Sometimes it's better the devil you know than the one you don't.
I don't think that John Howard was all that bad as a Prime Minister. |

haha suck it howard.
p.s, for people who do not know, bennelong is john howards electorate, and there has only been one other case ever, of someone losing their own electorate.
ahah bennelong's my electorate. This is like musical chairs. So we we Maxine Mc-something now.
Liberal was pretty impressive how they pulled the country out of deep debt. Labor better not ruin the good works. Julian Gillard has a good image of being a female deputy prime minister- just by looks i mean.
oh yeah- my friend made his own little tick box on the ballot & put "Daniel Johns" *headesk* |

Julia Gillard annoys me.
I swear she is only deputy because she speaks like Kath from Kath & Kim and thus appeals to people because she's 'real'.
ie- she appeals to people with no brains because of her annoying voice.
But lmfao.
The labor guy from my electorate went out to the childcare center where my mum works about a million times before the election, and he promised that if labor won, he'd build them a new, purpose built childcare center.
They're ringing him up tomorrow to ask when they'll build it XDDD

Seriously even though labor won nothing will really change....sometimes i don't really feel that politicians are there for the people, they are there just to benifit themselves.....please don't hate me for saying that!!!!
lol and julia gillards voice annoys me too, it's so screechy lol |

I think John Howard was a good PM, really. Our country is in a fairly good state if you look at it. |

no he wont, he is going to eventually bring them out but you cant just do it all in one go, theres too any commitments and its too expensive to just pull em out in one go. and it will create conflict.
rudd is smarter then alot of you think
and hes 50, why is that too young?

And I don't think that any of us are doubting that he's smart.
He would not be PM if he weren't intelligent.

Labor won the seat in my area. Harry Jenkins, I met that bloke soo many times. He used to come to all out school assemblies, and cause I was in choir and stuff I'd be with all the teachers and speakers and he's come up and say what a admirable thing what we were doing was. Tee hee. He's fairly environmentally conscious, which I like.
I was so glad Howard lost his seat.
Did you guys hear about the chick who wasn't allowed to vote cause she was wearing a Kevin 07 top? She was told it was too political and made to change. She was all isn't that the point of voting, to be political? XDD |

I think Rudd is a little too unrealistic in his ideals, but he makes a good argument.
My mum was telling me how he has every intention to apologise to the Indigenous Australians, unlike John Howard.
Now, think about that, that is a whole lot of people he's managed to finally please that John Howard never would have.
I think any change in government to the one that has been in power for such a long time is a good thing, but we'll all have to wait and see as to wether Rudd will actually do a better job or not.
I'd like to believe he would, but I'm slightly sceptical. |

I really, really disagree with making an apology to indigenous Australians.
But I've already gone into that enough lol
