I like his singing better, and the new songs and their structure, but I listened to Bullets last night, and it was freakin' amazing. Truely, they are them, but I prefer their new stuff like Three Cheers and Parade better, but only because they sound more mature than the early years.
No, they are not darker than before. Three Cheers, to me, sounds incredibly darker than The Black Parade. TBP sounds happier in a way, really. I don't know how. It's really weird.
Would Bob joining be a factor in how TBP sounds? I guess I like the 'Bob factor' then.
I agree gerards voice has improved but the old voice is so much more emotional and he actually gets worked up a little when singing.
They did state in an interview that they wanted TBP to sound lighter and to give listeners a feeling of hope instead of agression and that they wanted listeners to get over all of that |

Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 93820 | February 2nd, 2007 at 11:05pm I'd have to say all, because when the band was in the Bullets era they had that sound...
And in the Three Cheers&Now they had the sound, lyrics, and yea...
That didn't make that much sense...xD |

Mainly because of the sound. For some reason, I think their older stuff had more guitar riffs.

Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 1413 | February 3rd, 2007 at 05:24am yeah, i actually really miss the old my chem. like i understand that everyone changes and music changes and everything..but i liked gerard back then...i still love him now and everything but i fell in love with MCR with the older stuff and thats how i like them. I just love 3 cheers for sweet revenge...it's like my all time favourite album...i relate to alot of the songs and it just helped me in alotta ways like 2 years ago and yeah, i just plain loved gerards long black hair. I like how gerards matured though and left the booze so it's all good. As long as their making music and staying true to why they began making music then it's all okay lol. Just hope they dont get all caught up in hollywood...doubt it but yeah i just hope not. |

Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 369 | February 3rd, 2007 at 09:23am Hmm, well I think I choose "the old style". But, as long as their music doesn't change too much, I'm cool with it. If it did, I would hunt them down. I would also steel their socks. Because I love socks. So DEAL. |
